LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Kentucky freshmen Eric Bledsoe, DeMarcus Cousins, Daniel Orton and John Wall and junior Patrick Patterson will enter their names in this year's NBA draft, the school announced in a release on Wednesday.

All five players are projected as first-round picks.

It marks the second straight season a UK player has declared early for the draft. All-American Jodie Meeks decided to forego his senior season last year to turn pro.

I agree I dont see Cal pulling off a class like he did last season.

Thats because this class doesn't have the players that were in last years class. There obviously aren't any Wall or Cousin prototypes out there, and Bledsoe is a pretty rare talent as well. That class is a once in a decade kind of thing.

He will however, by the time its all said and done, "reload" with another top 5 class. Its not possible to equal this years class, so its not really a fair comparison, IMO.

Exactly. How the upcoming class compares to last year's is irrelevant. How it compares to what everyone else is bringing in is what matters.

With everyone gone even with Knight and assuming they get Selby it will be a down year next year. They may end up fighting to make tourney rather then fighting for a 1 seed.

Orton's stat line is hilarious. 3 and 3 a game. I'm pretty sure if you gave anyone with a pulse a jersey and 20-25 mins per game they could get close to duplicating a those numbers.

why in the world is orton going pro? he only scored double digits TWICE all year!!!

Anyone acting like Cal will just pick right up where he left off this season is kidding themselves. He will have 5 guys returning (if no one transfers). No matter what kind of class he brings in, he won't be running through the schedule like last year's team did. Next year will be a re-building year for UK and most likely a disappointment for many of the UK fans.
