Just wondering what your opinion is. He's getting awfully successful lately. And he obviously has world-class coaching + recruiting abilities. He's almost too good. Which makes you think it can't last too long ... lol

Note: The poll assumes that there are attractive basketball coaching positions available this off-season.

none of the above. about 4 million a year from a national power school that wants to bring back their bball tradition (so money). Most of those schools seem happy with their coach at the present. Hanging banners and championship rings will only get Bruce raises at the University of Tennessee!!!!

I guess I just dont get it.
During one of the teams biggest weekends all the boards talk about is CBP leaving.
Weird.

How far we advance isn't the question of wether he will leave. If anything winning a championship here would only make him more likely to stay. Him leaving is either a question of dollars or some freaky coach has to step down because he has a heart attack at a Kansas, North Carolina, or Duke type situation.

Hes not leaving for an Iowa unless they offer him ungodly amounts of money.

What would it take for these threads to stop? We are in the midst of the NCAA tourney, going farther than any Tennessee team has gone before, yet this is what we think about?

I agree, and as soon as he loses a game, they will be those that think he should be fired:matrix:

I agree totally. STOP THE MADNESS. Why do people continue to bring this up. He has built his program his way. He is what Tennessee basketball is all about. It is his program done his way. Why would he leave. Money will not be an issue, he will be paid. Great facilities and he is slowly garnering the attention he and the program deserves.

I wish the administrator would delete any thread with this topic.

Ridiculous!!!!

Another one of these....why?
Bones never lie.
Do the people that constantly post these have no other thoughts so they post this over and over? Can Freak just make another section for these??

Indiana to come calling with a big bag of money.

Thats the job that worries me the most too. However, CBP's coaching style doesn't seem to fit what the Hoosiers have always liked to do (i.e. uptemp game vs. the traditional halfcourt system). I wouldn't be suprised if they go after young Brad Stevens if Tom Creen doesn't get things jump started soon. (assuming no one else gobbles up Brad Stevens)

IU has already come calling, and Bruce rejected them. Anyways, everyone in the Hoosier state thinks Creen is doing an excellent job.

Brad Stevens will be wooed by at least Iowa and Depaul after the tournament.

Honestly, the only programs that I can see CBP leaving us for would be a top 6 program. Also, he's from Boston, but they don't really have any basketball powerhouses in Massachusetts. He has ALL of his previous experience in the midwest - particularly recruiting Chicago.

Therefore, the only programs that I can picture Bruce leaving us for are IU (but hes already turned them down), KU (but Bill Self loves it there and is young), and MSU. MSU is real interesting because Izzo isn't really THAT old, but he has already been there for what seems like forever.

Bruce's east coast ties MAY implicate Syracuse or UConn, but for some reason I just don't see him having success up there.

tbh Bruce is on the national radar now if he wasnt before.. I bet he would be the front runner for any job in the country.

I still don't think Bruce would be a legit candidate for a power house school (UNC, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, etc). But he's absolutely perfect for a school that needs its program reignited, like us.

Damn straight, Elite Eight isn't good enough. If he doesn't win three straight national championships, get his ass out of here.

True; and when asked he said Indiana is his dream job but he felt he owed something to UT for giving him a chance while others blacklisted him.

How long before he feels the debt has been paid?
