How many Chris Lofton's has Pearl recruited? Neither Scotty or Tobias have proved anything.

No one is advocating hiring Buzz again in the first place.

Unfortunatly for 99% of the volunteer faithful, they are happy just making the ncaa tourney and getting quickly exposed/dispatched.

1. Fair enough, I don't remember that. But I doubt any of your enemies (Hat) wants him fired because of that.

2. My point was that if Bruce disapoints again this year, the money we are giving him could bring in a better coach.

3. Fair enough. It will be interesting to see what he can does this year. I will be shocked if we makes the elite 8.

Alright, sorry. I lost track in trying to get to my real point of throughout this whole thread, you started out at elite 8 and then moved to final 4. It is my honest opinion that you just do not like the man. However, I am embarrassed to be e-arguing about something that it doesn't make a hill of beans what either one of us think. I'm done on this thread. No need to reply. Have a great day and Go Vols!

I wish him and all of us Vols much success. I am frustrated by fans who sell us short (i.e, it is either Pearl or Buzz, we never got that far before so we should not expect to go further, etc.)

U'r point being? It's obvious u have a personal bias against Pearl, and have no real sense of the history of UT BBall whatsoever........I'm not saying all of your points are not valid, but they are greatly exagerated, IMO......

Remember, this is not Duke, UNC, Georgetown, Syracuse, etc.....we are a football school, who is building a new BBAll program that has basically been dormant for decades.....

Just relax, b4 u pop an artery, and enjoy the ride......or I suggest you go root for UNC or Kansas :eek:lol:

It is possible to like someone as a person, but not want him as our coach. If you were running a business, would it be a smart move to keep somone that wasn't doing his job, but was your friend?

Name a UT b-ball coach who has done more at UT than CBP? That's right their isn't one. For all your we could do better, well we haven't in 108 years. And instead of being excited like the rest of us(best 4 years in UT b-ball history) you act like we know nothing about basketball. Well we could have gotten someone better without saying who that guy is. Instead of saying well we should have rotated to the ball faster you say "well you don't know basketball like us" and "CBP can't get us there". Five years ago if you told me what the next five years would be like I would have laughed in your face.

Thats funny, bc/ I never said that!! I'm just not going to cry like a baby when we have been doing great over the past 4 years, and are on a major upswing in our program...... Everything is relative.......

No one wants that at all. The people who are critical of Pearl don't think he's done poorly, they just think that he won't be able to take them to the next level. Pearl has done well, but people are praising him like he's the only one who could do this well. He's done well. There are better guys out there, period.

A lot of people hate Pearl because of the incident many years ago with the recruit.
