Anyone think Kiffin will go to the ESPNU game of the week MLK-Stephenson (GA) to get some face time similar to Meyer at the Byrnes-Aquinas game? There are some good recruits, but for nothing more than for Meyer to see Kiffin grin as he stands near Mack Brown (UF commit) on the sideline.
That's already been confirmed. CLK and Thompson will ride the chopper into that game and watch the first half. Then get back on the helicopter and fly to watch North Gwinnett and JaWuan James play. Lots of face time on ESPN tomorrow night...
What other prospects will be at the MLK-Stephenson game besides Mack Brown?
The players: Stephenson will have five Division I-A signees from this class. They are linebacker Tyrone Cornelius (committed to Miami), defensive backs Chris Sharpe (Louisville) and Kenneth Ladler (Vanderbilt), running back Raymond Sanders (Kentucky) and defensive tackle Michael Thornton (more than 30 offers). M.L. King has the state's top-rated running back in Mack Brown (Florida) and seven others with offers from smaller colleges. Stephenson has 32 alumni on college rosters this season, 11 in Division I-A. M.L. King has 21 alumni on college rosters, eight in Division I-A.
Lane Kiffin is out recruiting during Tennessee's bye week and wants everyone to know. He explained the background noise during his segment Wednesday by saying he was phoning in from a South Carolina high school. Then Tennessee's peripatetic coach found an opportunity to mention that he also has been or will be in Florida, Georgia, Arkansas and Alabama this week.
