Just said on 104.5 outta Nashville that we wouldn't score more than 3 points saturday. Why put this Jack@ss on the radio? He pisses me off everytime I hear him speak.

Talk about Tebow having a chip on his shoulder because kiffin calling his daddy/coach a cheater is nothing compared to the chip the vols should have due to the fact that noone thinks they can win this one. Admittedly so, the vols must find holes in that "spectacular" defense that troy had their way with in the first quarter. Crompton just needs to calm down and play Tennessee football, not trying to make plays out of horrible situations. The moment he starts doing that is when we will start beating the teams we are supposed to beat and the teams noone else thinks we can beat.

I don't see florida winning by more than ten. Florida is going to have to run (which is what we want them to do) most plays because they don't have any harvins, and I personally believe our secondary is top notch. Our D should love their matchups if they look at them very closely.

He's a moron. Although I hope he isn't right in this case. I've repeated this numerous times. All depends on QB play.

You realize he got his start covering LSU, right? Nothing about him has anything to do with the Vols. He's never played football and never coached. The only thing he knows about the game is what other people tell him. In the end, he basically just spews what someone else says and tries claim it as his own. This is why he is notoriously late with his scoops, and frequently inaccurate.

There is ZERO journalistic value in everything he says.

i doubt we score ...u do realize crompton is gonna give florida the ball back everytime our offense hits the field ? ...but coach K will stand behind him !!! wooo throw another one johnny boy ....the only way we get lucky is if spikes hits crompton so hard it either knocks whatever is loose in his head back ....or knocks him out

Troy had their way with the Gator D in the first quarter??? :eek:lol:

Troy had 47 total yards in the first quarter and had drives of 3, 3, and 2 plays and one field goal. 139 total yards for the game.

As for the rest of your post, there is a reason Florida is favored by 30 points.

He hates Kiff and our Volunteers, but we sure do love him. Hyams and Doc rule the airwaves and there is nothing we can do about it.

Actually 2Bits. I'm dumb. I had to think that through again. If you think about it, the spread is widening to get bets on UT, not UF. It's UF that is getting heavily betted right now. The spread may widen even more to balace this thing out.

I was wrong. I'll try not to let it happen too much. :)

Hyams also added he's just not confident in Casey Clausen's ability to handle the rough atmosphere of the swamp and thinks Zook may have some tricks up his sleeve

Base defense. Starters played one quarter. Used every defensive player on the roster. If you judge the UF defense by this game then you will have a rude awakening tomorrow. Oh, and please grow up- will you?

no, it will get bigger to entice more people to vote for the vols.

the whole point of the spread is to get even betting. if vegas get 50-50 betting, they don't lose anything.

so if everyone is betting on florida, vegas will increase the spread until they have enough people betting on UT.

The fact is that no one knows much about either of these teams. I personally think a lot of the spread has to do with the comments by Kiffin. (i.e. Florida beat Georgia last year 49-10 after they were "disrespected") Truth is Troy and Charleston Southern were not tough teams, but Florida was VERY vanilla. Tennessee played one game against WKU where they played well at times and one horrible game offensively against UCLA. Personally, I think the game is a lot closer than "experts" think because Tennessee won't play as bad as they did against UCLA. Can't wait to see what happens.

That's completely ridiculous. The line has moved from 28 to 30.

Some local books are offering another bet on the game. UF's defense vs. UT's offense at a Pick. That should tell you everything you need to know about where bookmakers think this game is going.
