I Am Amazed By The Kool-Aid

Finally a voice of reason and understanding. Why do we keep seeing posts that say, I have a felling...That feeling is the kool-aid finally taking effect. I hope we show up and fight them like a championship team should. with heart and to play hard. we're still 2 years away from competing with the gators. I can't wait for that day to come! Go Vols.

Im talking about our fans flooding a national message board with ignorant posts about us upsetting UF. Its not just there its here as well. Have you seen some of the moronic responses in this thread? Some of you think that you can be a vol fan unless you a blind homer with no grasp on reality. Im not preaching here, when I do that I usually take up an offering.

And who is to judge reality? If reality were that we are destined to lose, why play the game? Why do we as fans, put on the orange, start the tailgate at some ungodly hour, work ourselves into a fever pitch a week in advance, and spend 1/10 the national budget of Botswana each year on a reality that we will lose to a superior opponent on paper? Win or lose, i will not slam my team or coaches. I might say they played poorly, called a bonehead play but my reality is that each game in Orange is better than the doldrums or pulling for blue and off orange or maroon. BTW...i put a 20 in your plate. :hi:

RExvol You proclame to be a preacher, a man of God. Telling people of a man that walked on water, A man that healed the blind, the deaf, raised the dead. forgave sins, died and rose again. With no proof of any of this you say we just got to believe and have faith. And now your faith in the Vols is no chance at all.Seems you preach it but don't live it. Ask any player if they don.t think we can win. Your a joke.

Good grief man, get a grip. He's talking about a football game, not the meaning of life.

a national message board filled with anonymous posters might think a few Vol fans are fans of their team no matter what? Oh no, how will you ever make it thru the week with such horror? And is Heaps still a silent?

The picture below illustrates perfectly how much I care about the rivals mb:

You are the joke *******. I agree with billbattle...this is not the meaning of life being discussed here...:shaking2:

Way to go out on a limb and agree with someone who opens by calling you the voice of reason and understanding.

you dont find it somewhat odd that you are trying to equate eternal salvation with a football gane? And it's you're that is the contraction for you are.

I think we're fully prepared at our house... my bride is erecting a barbed-wire fence in front of the new wide-screen TV; she's not going to let me carry ANY of my semi-auto handguns into the den; I noticed several barf-bags on the coffee table, and she ordered a refill of my diazepam. I'm going to spend Friday night in fasting and prayer (probably not but you get my drift) for Jonathan, and I'm going to sit on a pile of four-leaf clovers and rub a couple lucky rabbit's feet during the game. We're still gonna get blown out.

I never said anything was fun. I am just saying that spending the week thinking we are going to lose, and debate the details of possibly losing isn't fun.

I know a win this Saturday is highly unlikely....I accept that. However, I still want to see the Vols play a tough game with 100% effort for four quarters. Even though they lose, they can still walk away with something to build on. I hope Kiffin has the boys ready to play so we can avoid the "deer in the headlights" look from last year. GO VOLS!
