Does 7-6 or 8-5 (with a meaningless bowl win) sound about right to you?
I haven't seen Auburn yet...just their final scores...are they any better or are they a by-product of their schedule so far?
We're fickle. It's within our rights.Amazing!!! I would never want to go into a fight with any of you guys, he!! why even play the game?
We bit*hed about the team quiting in the past, not caring, not having any heart and here are the fans quiting before the coin toss. I see where the team got it from over the past few years!
Tennessee had no shot against Alabama and Pitt in '80. No chance at UGA and USC in '81. LSU, Auburn, and Washington State were unwinnable in '88. Miami would have beaten us 100 times out of 100 in '02. No shot against Florida in '94. No chance against Florida in '07 and '08. That's all the hopeless games I can remember. None have been a bigger lost cause than Saturday.

Auburn's no better than they were last year. If we don't handle them, four wins sounds about right. I'm sticking to my prediction of 7 or 8 wins.

You'll keep asking and you'll keep looking like a fool. That's your prerogative. I can assure you I'm never going to say anything positive about the piece of trash who's speaking to the Daytona Gator Club this week. Are you also sticking to your belief that Kiffin is the best Tennessee head coach in your lifetime? I'll probably ask you this a few more times over the next year or two just to see if I can get you to balk.![]()
I live down here and the AU fans I talk to are not that crazy about their chances this year. They are nowhere near as optimistic or as exited about the future with Cheesit as we are (for the most part anyway) with our new staff. They do look better on offense to me so far but see WKU results for us as comparison.
What about in '01 when we were an 18 point dog and won the game?
How was beating a Notre Dame team you played to the final gun the year before much of a upset. I'm also not going to consider beating a team with Brock Berlin at QB to be a huge feat. We've had some nice upsets over the years, namely:
But the difference was, we had overachieving, if not good, QBs in all of those games. Crompton is going to have to play the game of his life for us to even have a chance... and the O-line is going to have to dig down deep.

That 18 point spread was a joke. Anyone with a modicum of football knowledge knew the Vols had a shot in that one.
UT had offensive weapons all over the field, a competent and capable quarterback, and the nation's 2 best interior defensive linemen.
No, just consistent. Fulmer is, was, and always will be garbage. He glory trained a couple of Rodney Garner recruiting classes to two whole SEC titles. He never won anything else. He is an obese version of Mack Brown or Lloyd Carr. So, I take it you are a very young person??
Wow, congrats! You're the first person I've talked to that bet everything on the Vols that week. You must have made enough money to do you for the rest of your life!

How many future NFL players were there on that UT roster. They were an 18 point underdog because of their awful performance against Kentucky, not a lack of talent.
