Monte Kiffin's scheme will make a talented MLB very famous. That is a reason we could end up with Luc.

I agree with alot of what you said but I think we are going to finish second for a lot of these guys. Tosh is too good of a recruiter so I think Cal ends up with Owa. Floyd's a tough one to call especially with USCw entering the mix now. Some even say they are battling USCe for him as a two team race. I think Joyner is playing us honestly I don't think he is that high on us and I believe OSU is in 2nd. Powell is the one we must have and if USC gets Jackson Jeffcoat then that might make it easier to get the other elite DE in Powell. We all know the history with Luc and FSU, we can only hope the kid wants to win more than playing early.

But if he wants to do both he'll head to Knoxville. This isn't just an FSU-UF battle we'll be in it till the end. We're closer to being back than many people think, the cupboard isn't completely bare of talent regardless of what the media and the "experts" want to tell people.

And that's more than enough to play at any school.

Rumor has it that Jeffcoat is OU bound. His sister signed to play basketball for OU and Jackson is likely to follow.

That's the last rumor I've heard going around Plano West...where my son attends.

I really hope we get LUC. Monte could help him get much better and his killer instinct attitude is great. Hopefully he will give us a better insight where he stands with his decision to commit with the VOLS after the Auburn game in Knoxville.
He is just absolutely going to enjoy that game.

Can you remind me how to do the ignore one more time. Mos Def is by far my least favorite person on Volnation. Absolutely drives me up the wall. I cannot, for the life of me, understand why fans of other teams come on here. I would NEVER go to a Florida/Alabama/Georgia you name it fan site to discuss recruiting with them.

Click on 'User CP' at the top of the page. Then click 'Edit Ignore List' and type in the user name of the person you want to ignore.

I have read numerous times that Luc is not likely to leave Florida to play college ball, but I've never seen the quote or video that this is based on. Can someone please enlighten me?

That's cuz he's never said it. Most people THINK he won't, but it seems like nobody really knows what Jeff Luc is going to do. His brother goes to FSU. Outside of that, it is all speculation and hear-say. Luc plays things close to the vest...

Thanks Vader. That's what I was hoping the answer would be. As if it isn't hard enough to dissect the quotes of these kids and try to read between the lines, it's ridiculous that these trolls speculate about their inclinations and spew it as the gospel!

It has nothing to do with being a fan of a rival team it has to do with the fact that you just don't get that not everyone wants to play for the Gators.Apparently last signing day wasn't evidence enough for you.Luc may very well end up at UF but he could also choose UT and if you don't believe that then you are dumb, stupid or any other name you wish to label yourself as.You have the #1 ranked team in the nation, the Heisman trophy favorite and you have nothing better to do than troll a Vol message board. We breathe football 24/7 here in Tennessee, winning or not but I guess in Florida you've won a few games and now it's old and so the bandwagon jumpers have to find something else to do.Hopefully you kept all of your old UM apparel and when Urban bolts to ND you can start pulling for the Canes again like you used to do.

I never said Luc was coming to UF. I think our chances of landing Luc are slim to none but whatever floats your boat.

Another factor is that his mom is a big factor in his recruiting (i.e. she won't let him go to Miami). It also sounds like she wants him to stay close to home.

Any school he goes to except for Miami won't be "close to home."

If he doesn't mind going to school 5 or 7 hours away from home in Gainesville or Tallahassee then he is definitely considering UT.

Coming to Knoxville to learn from Monte, Coach O and Lance Thompson will mean the best possible coaching that he could get. Luc will be great no matter where he goes, but being coached by Monte Kiffin will automatically legitimize Luc to any NFL coaching staff and would be a good investment in his future. It might be the difference in being a Top 3 pick instead of just a Top 10 or First Round pick and that will mean a difference of millions in signing bonus.

With the price of gas now, it's nearly as cheap for Luc's mother to fly to Knoxville for his games as it is for her to drive to Gainesville or Tallahassee.

With Monte's instruction, Luc could end up being one of the most highly rated LBs to enter the NFL draft. Luc has a rare opportunity in front of him if he chooses to let MK mold him in college.

I have to think that is extremely appealing to him. Also, Miami kids that visit Knoxville usually come away loving the experience. It is beautiful and the slow pace and lifestyle are very welcoming.

Knoxville still manages to be much more of a city than Tally or G-ville while providing a relief from city life. If his Mom is really looking out for his best interests then he should get out of FL.

Honestly, Monte probably won't be here for most of the kids career. He'll probably retire after like his sophomore year.

Butreally, if Reveiz is playing this well...can you imagine what Luc would be doing in it?

Why would Monte retire? What else would the man do? He's been obsessed with football for 40+ years and would drive himself crazy if he didn't have it.
