What has to happen for TN to beat Florida?

Tennessee wins if they run the ball well, they don't commit turnoers, and the defense keeps UF under 300 yards of total offense. 200 yards rushing and 0 turnvers = a win for the vols or at least a damn close game.

No one thought UT would move the ball AT ALL in the 2001 game. That was one of UF's best defenses, EVER, and UT had like 8 million rushing yards.

This will be a big change up for Florida in week three. They've played two pansy-a** spread teams that they've physically dominated, and now someone is going to actually come right out from the first snap and hit them, HARD.

I think UF wins, but I think UT can keep this one respecatble as long as Crompton doesn't have a melt down.

Just remember. UF had 6 fumbles yesterday against Troy State...

The ONLY way we win in The Swamp is for Florida to overlook us AND we can run the ball all over them all day long. We would need to win the time of possession with at least 40 mins and drain the clock. 17-18 play drives and play the defense that we are capable of playing. It is defintely possible, but also definitely not probable.

I think you'll find running behind your line with our D-line rotation will be difficult. You have the horses in Hardesty and Brown, but your line won't be able to get much push.

We're gonna struggle against good Dlines this year.

Nice Pic by the way, you ain't far off.

And notice that I said that IF that happens, it is the ONLY way we have a chance of winning this game--or even keeping it close for that matter. Thanks, try again.

UF's skill positions have to put the ball on the turf like they did in the first quarter against Troy.

A defensive player must recover the fumble and score, however, because the offense sucks.

If Tennessee can do this, I don't know, 6 times Saturday, there may be a shot.

Blocking a few punts would be nice too.

Chances of all this happening = slim to none.

I will say this, Eddie Gran was on the Auburn staff when Auburn beat UF without scoring an offensive TD.

You guys definitely have a great DL. If our offense has ANY success at all, our defense should be able to keep us in the game. Not saying we win, but our D can keep us in the game.

Your D is your hope. It will be a real change from our first two "opponents".

Unfortunately, our offense will probably be a step down from Charleston Southern. So it will even out...

There's a better chance that a pig will fly out of my arse than there is of UT winning this game or even keeping it close.

A runaway comet hurtling between the Earth and the Moon.

And Thundarr the Barbarian being named the new starting QB. Because he would throw less picks than Crompton.

Swine flu breakout in Fl would work but we need JC to have it to. I dont think he could throw against their 2nd or 3rd string.

Somebody clogs a toilet in Gainesville causing a massive buildup of water that in a big tidal wave floods the field driving all the Gator players out of sight.
At the same exact time somebody clogs a toilet in UCF's stadium in Orlando causing the same problem and washes away all of the UCF players.
Now somewhere between Gainesville and Orlando these two tidal waves run into each other, somehow in all the chaos, everyone's helmets and jerseys from opposing teams gets switched.
Rescue crews quickly gather up all the shaken players and take them back to their respective stadiums because there is a game to play!.
Little do they know that its not Gator players in those Gator unis anymore. Its a mediocre Conference USA group of players, yes of course i forgot to mention all the players suffer amnesia and have no idea whats going on..

Look back to last year.

Why do people seem to realize that we held the mighty Tebow to 96 yds passing? Or that Crompton was 18/28 for 162 yds? Florida won that game with big plays.

This year:

I feel like our defense is a bit better this year, especially the secondary. Despite our showing yesterday, our offense has shown improvement from last year. Although, returning 11 starters, Florida's D still looks sloppy and unproven. Their offense looks every bit as good as last year. No Harvin, but Rainey has looked good. If we can contain Rainey and prevent the long run, we could string this out. I don't think Tebow can beat us through the air. Did you watch him against Troy? He could take a TD pass whenever he wanted one. That secondary was terrible, while ours could be the best in the SEC. If we can limit ourselves to two interceptions, while capitalizing on Florida's fumbling problem, we can get it close. I'm confident our special teams can prevent another Brandon James TD. Florida will not, WILL NOT march up and down the field at will on us. There is no way they score 40 or more on us, and I'm even tempted to say we keep them under 30. We have to be effective and accurate in the passing game. I don't trust Crompton to throw the ball more than 15 yds in any direction. Stick with dumps out of the backfield and screens to our WRs. On D, hit hard and hit all the time. This is Florida's first game of the year. I think the Vols are more than ready.

Urban Meyers get 100 million over 3 years to coach Notre Dame and leaves for South Bend Monday afternoon.

Tebow breaks both arms and 1 leg.

UF’s backup QB and running backs leave early for the NFL- this week.

Losing by anything less than 40 pts will be a miracle.
