With the whole country watching our poor excuse for an offense, besides Monterio, how many recruits/commits will we lose?

I wouldnt worry about it now. we really only lost One recruit last year which was Nunes that had nothing to do with the coaching changes

Hopefully none. I think if anything, they would want to come to Tennessee because they can see the field in their freshman season.

We don't lose any recruit. IF anything I think it would help us withe the QB situation, but i'm not really looking for another one now that Bray has committed, although i wouldn't mind one. Defense is going to be fine. Our defense is really good and when we can get some offense to keep them off the field most of the time they will really be amazing.

Recruits are not going to base a big decision on one game. If that were the case, the lower tier programs would never get any recruits. How did Ed Orgeron get all those great recruits to Ole Miss, a program that doesn't spend a lot of time in the top 25?

Do people really make decisions that way? Last week they commit, this week, they decommit, next week, who knows? Cooler heads prevail as will Tennessee's coaching staff.

The booing probly realy impressed the 4* and 5* recruits who were here for the game!

If they can not deal with boo's maybe they should take up another sport that people do not care about, or maybe not lost a ball game by yourself and you will not get booed.

I would hope the results of one game wouldn't change a kids mind. The game was close and it was obvious what our problem was. I can't see how that makes this any less attractive than it was before.

love how pathetic some fans are...USC was like 2-5 in Pete Carrol's 1st year and 67-7 after he put his imprint on his team.

Right now we have the same record as GA, Oklahoma, Ok St and a lot of other ranked teams. We are undefeated in the SEC...life is not over...What did you expect an undefeated season? If anything our players did not give up and fought till the end.

We could actually see a lot of positive of how coaching staff and players react to adversity.

I tell you one thing..i never saw a Phil Fulmer coached team have players leading a team huddle on the sidelines. We had leaders step up during the game such as Eric Berry and Chris Walker.

FYI accdg to Kiffin the recruits raved about the atmosphere and and how the team continued to fight till the end. They see an opportunity to help and we actually may have swung a certain dlineman

I love the way everyone compares Kiiffin's task here to what Pete Carroll did at USC in his first year then afterward..SEC aint the Pac 10... USC might never be challenged seriously there again recruiting wise..

None right now, But I reserve judgement until after the Ole Miss game. If we can beat 2 of 4 out of AU, UGA, USC and UM thats definitely good enough imo, 3 of 4 looks to be a daunting task, but would be a great first year imo. The way this staff has recruited thus far and our obvious opportunity for top young talent to play immediately at a big time SEC program should only help us. Orgeron recruited lots of talent to Ole Miss so I'm confident we will be able to get some great guys with him and our assistants, and everything else UT has to offer. WE really are a sleeping giant right now imo, future looks bright!

All of them, we probably won't even field a team next year and Neyland Stadium will be renovated again into the world's largest pool. Our diving team is gonna be excellent.

CLK said today on the Lane Kiffin Show that the recruits were very excitied and loved the atmosphere he also took the blame for the lost

This helped, a lot of freshmen playing early, great staff. If I'm a highly rated high school QB, I'm thinking I could easily get Cromptons job. Guess were I'm goin to college.

There were also chants of "Let's Go Crompton" at the end of the game. I liked that the stadium was for the most part as full as it was at the end as it was during kickoff. I was also glad that it was loud all game too, even with the inept offense. As far as recruiting, I think this game shows that they can make a difference. The recruits could have been sitting there thinking, "If I was on this field now, I could make a difference." IMHO.

Eeeeexactly!! People need to stfu! It's ONE GAME!!

One thing I was proud of with our team is that they fought to the bitter end! They did not give up! That was a huge step in the right direction over last year.

Also, I don't care what anybody says, UCLA will surprise some people this year! They have some great players on that team and Neuheisel is a good coach. They will not go 0-10 after this win like they did last year.

Anyone NOT surprised by the "finger-pointing" reported after the game ? Considering "Coach" K's offseason recruiting antics and his belief that the best players ONLY want to be on ESPN and/or in front of any camera/microphone, I'm not surprised that some of these "top" recruits and/or current Vol players now have lost their understanding of the team concept and are only concerned with their own image (See UGA).
