Jonathan Crompton... (merged)

every team we play from this point will stack the box, and put some safety on watching Gomers eyes.. they will have five pics every game, and we will finish dead last in the SEC...

Sounds like he's gonna have a killer portfolio.

Ive had it with his pass in the ground stuff. He is NOT and WILL NEVER be a QB....just start Stephens next week and get him some experience....this is a rebuilding year with a new staff for us....Crompton is NOT a team leader...he is just merely out there running through the motions....enough is enough....today was just like last season for him....throw in the dirt and just plan not make plays....last week was basically a high school team...ive had it with him....at least play the JUCO guy...my god....and we have UF next week??/?

he probably is playing the best qb we have, he is playing the best every where else. you think kiffin has an alliance with crompton???? That's just how bad we got at that position

I am excited to see this new kid Nick Stephens everyone here speaks about. I just hope he isn't as bad as the Nick Stephens we had here last year. Oh, wait.

All I can say is I'm so thankful that this is his last year.I'm sure this has hurt our recruiting terribly for the high schools players that were visiting todays game!

I doubt it...Alabama had a terrible first year with Saban and they finished the next year with a great class. These high school guys should see that we need the help and that they could be a part of something special in helping this team get back to the top...

If Jonathan Crompton was my son I hope I would love him enough to tell him that it was time to chase a new dream. There is no way that he can consider himself a good quarterback after tonight. If he truly loves the University of Tennessee and wants the best for the TEAM, then he will have to admit he is doing more harm than good and do whatever he has to do to rectify that situation.

Kiffin is in a real pickle. Plays Florida next week. Does he have time to develop a new quarterback for the game as well as a game-plan. Or is he forced to stick with Crompton?

I thought he was the worst I had seen last year. He confirms my opinion of him today.

I am not sure how far Nick Stephens is behind Crompton in CLK's mind but I hope that this week there is a change

Forced to go with Crompton. He'll stink it up and then there's no room for anyone to complain when he gets pulled as a Sr. Captain. Then we see Stephens after that.

Crompton has proven he lacks what it takes to get it done. For whatever reason he is just horrible. We know Crompton will fail miserably next week if given the chance. It's just time to pass the torch, regardless of next weeks opponent.

Perhaps Boyd can come in. Oh I forgot we did not want him. Don't fit our style. Crumpton just don't have it. I rather have AJ Suggs. On a positive if we had a QB I think the rest would be OK. Did Jones not know the passing routes?

Am I the ONLY one who thinks our Offensive Coordinator/Play Caller has NO Imagination what so ever! WTF! Does the playbook consist of 1 Page or what? No Sweeps, NO Screens, No Reverses/Trick Plays. Just straight up the middle or a pass, which is a TOSS UP with Crumplin-Crompton:blink:. Either to the defense or in the grass.

Yes the offensive line played half-ass some, but there is no excuse for Crumplin-Crompton. Even if the Off Coord told him to just pass it where the receiver will be, he still can't read the D-Backs.

I Blame KIFFIN who showed NO ability to use the talent he has to perform or provide the right play at the right time. Poor Crumplin-Crompton just doesn't have it upstairs. Pressure will get him everytime and he gets tunnel vision and he showed today what happens then.

Defense you did a Good Job! As usual.

Oh what will Super Koach Kiffin do now? What will he say?

We would have been much better off if Crompton had stunk it up the first week (but still won of course). Maybe then Kiffin would have moved Stephens in as a starter and would have had a game under his belt for Florida. Now I'm afraid we are stuck with Cromp.
