The NCAA is allowing former professional basketball players who actively had agents to return and play college ball.

LSU has RJ Luis signed in this class...a guy who played 3 full seasons and 85 games in college, entered the 2025 draft and then spent this past year playing professional basketball in 3 preseason games for the Boston Celtics. But nothing from the NCAA on that situation as of yet.

Telling me that guy didn't have an agent paying for tickets and helping with travel for the entire year he was working to get on a NBA team?

We're still with them. I like the bank. I just didn't care enough about the phone thing to fix it. Sounds like they have moved to tap cards for debit though, so when my account gets compromised for the 7th time, I'll get a nifty tap card. Funny thing is they've had tap cards for credit, but not debit.
Probably due to legality of how money is pulled from account. Or more soecifically how much money each transaction costs.

Precisely! Ludicrous!

Little was one of my favorite players growing up...

He would own the sack records too I think had he gotten to play his Freshman year.

182 total tackles, 28 sacks and 25 TFLs with only playing 3 years and 32 total games

Barnett also only played 3 years, but he got 7 more games to reach his 197 total tackles, 33 sacks and 52 TFLs

By the way, people (including myself) scoffed at the idea that we haven’t been tampering, haven’t been aggressive in the portal, etc. because we were still on probation.

Suddenly, that doesn’t seem like such a crazy notion. Apparently, the AA has been salivating waiting for us to put a single foot wrong.

Also...I really would have loved to see Doug Atkins play. From all accounts the man was unstoppable.

6'8" 257lbs won a National Title as a Vol, also lettered in track and field 3 seasons and 1 season in basketball too, with a 2nd place finish in the Southeastern Conference high jump championship

Let’s step back and view this issue in context.

Bama breaks NCAA rules by playing professional player Charles Bediako. Response: The NCAA punishes Arion Carter and Tennessee football.
Also, does anyone think Arion Carter is the only case of this happening? Not a chance.

Screw appealing! Sue them! This is insane that he won’t play against GT!
Vol Twitter needs to activate and pummel the **** out of the NCAA online. Crucify them in the court of public opinion until they cave to the enormous pressure. I am talking Les Grossman style pressure.

My memory is foggy but didn't Little switch to MLB his Senior Year? I think that cost him some sacks as well.

It seems like (if it weren’t an obviously and absolutely corrupt entity and had any integrity at all) the NCAA’s contention would have to be that none of the pro basketball players returning to play NCAA basketball (with the NCAA’s blessing) have ever received so much as a plane ticket from an agent or G league team, even if they reimbursed the latter.

iirc, the rule that the NCAA made on the fly during basketball season was that no matter what compensation a player received from agents or professional teams, the player was NCAA eligible so long as he has not have signed an NBA contract. They obviously permitted professional sports compensation by G league teams. The NCAA did not ban players who received tickets or other compensation from agents, or penalize all the NCAA schools who signed them.

Arion Carter didn’t sign an NFL contract.
