If he's the #2 back, who the heck is #1?![]()
National Powerhouse Takes Control of Three-Way Battle for College Football's No. 2 RB
One of the best running backs in the country coming out of high school coming off winning a huge national honor is drawing closer to what will be a massive recrwww.si.com
Ohio State was always only taking DGG. Locklyn gave him his first offer at Oregon and then his second offer at OSU. Could've been here but gotta protect the offense dammit! It’s a shame he chose a few extra bucks and a future reckless driving arrest over the opportunity to become a man at Ohio State.
Yup, would be hard to disagree with a guy wanting to go to a cfp contender over an 8-4 teamHate to be that guy, but Josh may need to win more than 8 games and not lose to Illinois in the Music ****** Bowl if he wants to consistently land the upper echelon.
I do think they've had success with zeroing in on relationships, and its yielded some players. At this point you're selling a vision.
Will be interesting to see what happens here. Kid could really be the central piece to something special.
Ohio State RB coach, Carlos Locklyn, was at Oregon previously. Heupel turned him and another future HC down for Sims bc Sims would be around longer and Heupel would not have to get another guy in who does not 'know his offense.' After he got turned down here, OSU hired him. When Locklyn was at Oregon, he gave DGG his first offer. After getting to Ohio State, he gave DGG his second offer. Their relationship is TIGHTI dont follow.
I think Simms struggles to recruit. Wish we had one on staff other than Pope.Ohio State RB coach, Carlos Locklyn, was at Oregon previously. Heup loves to lean into the run game, a RB coach who could recruit would be helpful.Ohio State RB coach, Carlos Locklyn, was at Oregon previously. I mean I still think Tenn ends up with DGG. The predictions were going to come following a visit. He isn't committing in a couple days tho. But to the point I agree. Respectfully, coaching RBs is the easiest job with an on-field staff. Just teach pass pro, how to read gaps and ball security. That is a spot that you need an ace recruiter who is tapped in across your recruiting hotspots. Going coach-first for that position is very unwise imo. Go get an evaluator and closer. Something Tennessee has been looking for ever since Aston Walter left to join Jerry Mack staff at Kennesaw State imoHeup loves to lean into the run game, a RB coach who could recruit would be helpful.
But hey we did get Will Rajewski.
I think it will be Vols. Too many things line up in favor of UT. Not something this staff can count on routinely but certainly does help here. I'm really not worried about predictions after the first visit in this one. OSU staying neck and neck is a testament to Coach Lock, but I think he ends up in Orange and White personally. Getting last visit is hugesounds like you're leaning OSU?
Chicken or egg?Hate to be that guy, but Josh may need to win more than 8 games and not lose to Illinois in the Music ****** Bowl if he wants to consistently land the upper echelon.
