Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

He really should get a lot of credit for Pruitt's only decent season. The light bulb came on for him in the Mississippi State game and the defense got a lot better when that happened. He was almost always in the right position...probably the last truly greaty safety play we've had. I really think his play was the difference between an 8 win season and a 4 win season.

I think he hit the lottery and moved to Jamaica.

Wife and I just got back from Jamaica. Spent a week in Negril.

I did not see @TrippieRedd there.

Edit: as an aside.... I was taken aback by how much of a third world country that place looked. We flew into Montego Bay and drove (were driven, more accurately) to the Couples Swept Away resort in Negril (highly recommend). But the drive over was kind of ..... bizarre. A paradise that is a poverty stricken dump.

Ok, talk to me like I’ve had my head buried in baseball sand and tell me the top 5-6 guys to watch, that we have a legit shot at landing.
Other than the RB out of Chattanooga, of course…
Thanks.
Nobody really. This staff sucks. Can’t evaluate good character or talent. Everyone should be fired because we aren’t landing every top instate recruit. Staff can’t close ya know?

Yankees vs Athletics

The record for the most future Baseball Hall of Fame players to play in a single MLB regulation game is 15, set on May 24, 1928, during a doubleheader between the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Athletics.

The Lineup Breakdown:
  • New York Yankees (7): Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Tony Lazzeri, Earle Combs, Leo Durocher, Waite Hoyt, and Bob Meusel
  • Philadelphia Athletics (8): Ty Cobb, Tris Speaker, Mickey Cochrane, Al Simmons, Jimmie Foxx, Lefty Grove, Eddie Collins, and Zack Wheat

Additionally, both managers (New York's Joe McCarthy and Philadelphia's Connie Mack) were later inducted into the Hall of Fame, as was the umpire Tom Connolly.

Yankees beat the Athletics in a 9–7 slugfest.
