Picked this footlocker up today at an antique sale intending to use it for by grandfather's old collection of WWII bolo knives ,bayonets etc. when I got home I noticed why he let me have it for 15 bucks. The bottom was rotted out. I put a piece of plywood down to reinforce it and pivoted to make it something else.

As I was cleaning it I noticed the stenciling on the top. Lt Col John P O'Shaughnessy Ryukyu Island Okinawa Japan Yanton AFB?

There was some other stuff on it but this was all I could make out just bits and pieces. Pretty cool storage piece to go into my man cave. IMG_20260516_202722~2.jpg

Happy Sunday
Scripture
Gospel of Luke 15:20 (NIV)
"But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him…”

Reflection
Notice what Jesus highlights here—the son is still a long way off.
He hasn’t arrived yet.
He hasn’t finished his apology.
He hasn’t proven anything.
He hasn’t restored what was broken.
And yet…the father already sees him.
That means the father wasn’t indifferent. He was watching. Expecting. Hoping.

Sometimes we assume we need to get everything cleaned up before coming back to God—fix the habits, solve the struggle, rebuild consistency, get our attitude right.
But this story shows something deeper:
God’s compassion often meets us before our cleanup… not after it.
“While he was still a long way off…”

Maybe today you feel spiritually “a long way off.” Busy. Distracted. Inconsistent. Maybe life pulled you sideways.
The good news is this:
God doesn’t wait for perfect steps.
He notices the first honest turn.

Prayer
Lord, thank You that You see me even when I feel far away. Thank You that Your compassion is not reserved for finished people, but for willing hearts. Help me stop delaying my return because I think I need to have everything together first. Give me the courage to turn toward You, trusting that Your eyes are already on me and Your arms are still open. In Jesus’ name, amen.

We have to win the whole thing at a shot at a host you think? Or is it completely out of the question
We win there tourney likely having to beat ark, tx, UGA... Yeah we probably host.

It makes how you look at the series's we did win, the context on his we lost some the series we lost, how we finished the regular season, a little differently, imo. It also would speak to how much we've improved over the year.

We’ve pretty much had a year of mostly winning series as underdogs and losing series as favorites. But I do agree that there has still been improvement, less blown leads suddenly is nice. All in all, it was rocky for a bit but Josh has done a solid job rebounding this season. Can’t be too mad at it. I’m not sure we have the bullpen to really make a serious run in Omaha if we get hot during regionals and supers, but hey just get there and you never know. No one on the planet had Ole Miss winning the natty in 22
