This year's version of the Diamond Vols are simply not what we are used to seeing.. No real identity as hitters. Despite yesterday's performance, they are an excellent fielding team. Still not sold on the PC and his pitch calls at all. Kuhns has a quality 95-96 mph heater that he can locate. Instead the PC had him reverse pitching with junk that he could not locate, getting behind in counts to where they knew he had to get the ball over the plate with the fastball. Kuhns was off with his off speed stuff from the jump. PC did not adapt. Josh has to know to step in and fix it.

Poor performance. It's in the rear view, suit up and get it done today.

There’s a ton of pitching backwards going on in today’s game. The best do it and Kuhns being able to do it will only bolster his draft stock and make him more effective. And that’s exactly how he’s pitching since he’s been dealing his last like 5 outings. Everybody can hit 95-96 nowadays. Gotta be able to locate your other pitches.

It was a gritty outing from Kuhns until the big inning bc he wasn’t at his best. Then they got him.

Pitching backward seems defeatist. And extremely difficult.

Not only difficult, it is stupid to do that against an injury riddled UK team that had two sub Mendoza line hitters in the first three batters of the order.

Our starters have got to work the edges better. Be pitchers, not throwers. Consistently.

Also what on earth are you talking about? Your information is just flat wrong. Or do you think the Mendoza line is .360?

Their first 3 hitters all hit above .338 for the year.

Their lineup yesterday:

Tharnish .367
Bell .352
Lawerence .338
Hindle .289
Van Cleave .220
Campbell .260
Tyson .257
Cloud .188
Jenkins .255

And they’ll have a .358 hitter likely back and in the lineup today at DH
