Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

I am certain many will call me nuts, but for a small school with limited budget it's a cool premise. Having worked with AI some and knowing that leading men has little to do with algorithims - i don't see it working to replace a great leader and recruiter. What they should replace is the analysts teams are overspending on. Guys watching player film, and scoping opponent tape.

I mean could AI be better than whoever was helping Heup call timeouts? Absolutely.

“Simms salon” 😭🤣🤣🤣🤣

His counterpart isn’t wrong. It’s NBC, not the podcast you run out of your basement. There are rules. Telling the truth isnt necessarily one of them haha, but there are rules. And I’m guessing using casual gossip between you and your friends as a stated source when implying something about a scandal, one that involves the news and/or those employed by it, is probably against the rules.

This is dangerous

Scripture — Book of Job 19:25 (NIV)
“I know that my redeemer lives,
and that in the end he will stand on the earth.”

Reflection
Job says this when almost everything has been stripped away—health, security, reputation, even the understanding of those closest to him. What stands out is not just that he believes, but how he says it:
“I know.”

There’s a kind of settled conviction here that doesn’t depend on circumstances lining up.
He calls God his Redeemer—someone who steps in, restores, vindicates, makes right what has been broken or misjudged. And Job anchors that in the future: “in the end he will stand.” In other words, what feels unresolved now will not remain that way forever.

There’s a quiet steadiness in this verse. It doesn’t deny pain. It doesn’t rush resolution. It simply refuses to let the present moment have the final word.
For us, it becomes a way to stand when things don’t make immediate sense: Not by explaining everything—but by trusting who stands at the end of it.

Prayer
Lord, when I don’t understand what’s happening or why things feel unsettled, help me hold onto what is true. Give me the kind of confidence that Job had—not based on circumstances, but on who You are. Remind me that You are my Redeemer, that You see what is hidden, and that You will make things right in Your time. Steady my heart when answers are unclear, and help me trust that You are already standing at the end of this story. Amen.
