Scripture — Isaiah 30:15
“In repentance and rest is your salvation,
in quietness and trust is your strength,
but you would have none of it.”

Reflection
This verse doesn’t just describe where strength is found—it exposes how easily we reach for something else.

Repentance and rest. Quietness and trust.
The tension is familiar. When things matter, the instinct is often to move faster, push harder, think more, solve quicker. It feels responsible. It feels engaged. But God names a different source of strength—one that doesn’t come from exertion, but from alignment.

“Quietness and trust.”
Quietness is not passivity. It’s steadiness. It’s the refusal to let urgency dictate your direction.
Trust is not avoidance. It’s confidence anchored in something deeper than outcomes.

The verse ends with a difficult truth: “but you would have none of it.”
Not because the offer wasn’t real—but because it can feel counterintuitive.
To slow down when everything says hurry.
To trust when everything says control.
To rest when everything says perform.
But this is where strength actually gathers—not in the noise, but beneath it.

Prayer
Lord, You see how quickly I move toward pressure and control when things matter. Teach me a different way. Help me return to You not just in words, but in posture—in repentance, in rest, in quiet trust. Slow my thoughts where they rush ahead of You. Strengthen my confidence in Your presence so that I don’t rely on my own urgency. Let my life reflect a steadiness that comes from trusting You, not striving without You. Amen.

McCoy is a great bargain, maybe the biggest steal of the draft

I hope he proves everyone in the league wrong and makes the Pro Bowl every year. Unfortunately he's with the Raiders, so if he does ball out we'll never hear about it. Bless his heart.

Players I’m surprised have not been taken yet:

Josh Josephs
Harold Perkins jr
Nic singleton
Taylen green
Leveon moss
Isaiah world
George gumbs jr
Mike Washington jr

Edit: colbie young and lt Overton potentially great value there
