It’s very fair. I said Ament isn’t ready and may not make any noise for several years. DK’s game at UT was much better than Ament’s and he’s not been anything special in the NBA.
I didn’t say he won’t develop, but it looks like he’s got a long way to go to me. He disappeared in numerous games last season and doesn’t have a dominant physical presence

DK got screwed because a team for some reason saw his game in college and decided to send him in the games and go stand in a corner most of the time while going possession after possession without a touch.
NBA is a more open game but I’d be surprised if we see ament playing the next 3-4 years in the nba. He hasn’t shown the explosion and dog attitude needed.

He just hasn’t been given the chance when he is given a chance he’s lit it up. LA picked him up in the draft because they knew he was good and kept another team from picking him up. If DK was playing for another team right now, he would be playing a lot more. That’s the problem what’s getting drafted around the area he did because teams can be good and just draft for the bench.

Ament is a great person and has tons of talent but he is still a baby giraffe
Until his body develops more he’s going to get eaten alive by stronger guys both big and small. Once he completely grows into his body he will be fine, but his first year or two will be difficult. I certainly hope he will be successful, and there is no doubt he will always rep Tennessee with pride. Best of luck to you young man. We enjoyed having you.
