Basilio's projecting. Danny White is doing his job giving his HOF coach all the resources he needs to go have a historic season as a send-off in the twilight of his career. He's not doing this because football is "going to struggle". He's doing it because Barnes deserves it and because the risk is low and reward is high.

If White knew how good the football team was going to be he'd be a football coach instead of an AD.

Yea, Barnes has proven he is an elite coach with very good (but not elite) rosters. He seems to have developed great relationships with the money people. They love him and the product and will pay more.

It's also not to say anything about Heupel because football is a different animal. Uber competitive, can't falter in the regular season as much, and now a 115 man roster.

Burt Flanders reported that the basketball NIL is a push from a couple of donors that love Rick Barnes...same group that got Ament. Has nothing to do with football. Vibes in the AD are that Knowles and the new S&C program are having a much bigger impact at this point than anticipated and that the offense has what they need to be productive out of the gate and will only get better as GMac and Faizon gain experience. Basilio just makes things up. Trust Flanders.

There are multiple models projecting us at 10-2 or better. We aren't going to struggle. Danny hasn't come to a conclusion that we will struggle. I really don't care about the Basilio talk one way or the other, but he is incredibly off his rocker here.

Is it just me or did our football team look lots bigger during the spring in video/pictures I saw posted versus last several years even back to Butch Jones/Dooley/Pruitt era? I thought we looked lots bigger/stronger like the Bama/Georgia's of the SEC finally.

I really think if we can get some decent QB play that we might surprise some people this year. I really think we will see lots better defense going forward and better talent finally in the secondary then years past.

Not saying I want or think it will happen, and this kind of goes for all sports, but this makes me curious as to how long are the leashes for the coaches? Like Heup for example, is his leash long enough to survive a 4-6 win season? Again im not saying I want or think it will happen this post just made me think
