2026 Vols Transfer Portal Thread

This forum would be so much better if you jack wagons would stick to posting your opinions on the thread topic and drop all the childish arguments. Why do some of you feel the need to be a self appointed hall monitor? If another poster gets on your nerves then block them and move on as nobody wants to read about why you don’t like another poster. TIFWIW, AARP

Because you're a whiner.
You definitely answered the question.
I’m whining? When you literally have people arguing over the term “crafty,” LOL. Sure pal. Or, accusing a poster of being Basillio, or a Vansy troll, when they read something that hurts their feelings. LOL. Keep it up!!

Why? When they have a collection of minions who will pile on the moment this happens? It’s like they private message each other and sic the dogs on ya.

This is just standard fare on Vol Nation for any thread where information starts to dry up and you’re in a holding pattern for news. Not that it makes it any better but it’s a widespread issue. People get restless and start going off topic.

None of them asked me why I want them to leave though, buddy.

Kyle Evans has got nice touch around the rim and def makes a higher percent of his layups than JP. He’s a senior out of UC Irvine currently in the portal so would be continent on the ncaa giving more eligibility.

But he’s one of the only players available who is in the top 150 in rebounds, blocks and double doubles. I decidedly don’t know ball but curious if any ball knowers around here have watched his tape.

LOL.. Just curious how old are you?

The point is that Hill uses his feel for the game, ball handling, and footwork to score moreso than just blowing by people and jumping over them.

That is what crafty means. Just FYI.
Ball handling and footwork aren’t aspects of athleticism? You talk about Lundblade like he’s a floor lamp too. The kid comes off cuts hard and moves well against tight defenders. I think he’ll do better than you think on defense. I’m old enough that I played against kids in HS that played in the NBA and are retired now. I’ve heard people say Larry Bird was great, but he wasn’t that athletic. I’ve heard people say JaMorant was crafty, but not much of an athlete. Speed isn’t the sole variable of athleticism, neither is strength. Agility, dexterity, jumping ability, quickness and handle all live inside athleticism. Bird wasn’t a graceful mover, but he was a great athlete. Bobby Knight used to say Bird was the best hand eye coordinated athlete he ever saw. Pat Riley said Bird was a top five athlete in all of sports. Was he flashy like MJ? Did he have elite speed? No. Was he a great athlete? Of course. I don’t want to keep jerking up this thread with a Thesaurus in hand, but you won’t be able to watch Hill next year and stand by the idea that he isn’t a great athlete.

SF gets his ass really chapped at times.

I guess my main concerns with him is maybe lack of speed and lateral quickness and defense. On his tape here, he gets cooked a lot on defense in the post but still reminds me of one of those gonzaga bigs who are offensive weapons.

I think he has eligibility without the 5 year going in.

Sophomore year he played in only 9 games at Colorado State (had an injury that cut things short)

Still would probably have to get that retroactively counted as a medical RS season. And he did appear against Virginia in the tournament that season, but I think it would be easy to get the medical still.

Not sure he's a SEC level starter...great numbers and very active but listed at 6'10" 210lbs and I think that's pretty generous with the height.

Well you said his first step was “elite” and he has more lift than Jakobi. I would respectfully disagree. I would just describe his game differently than you. But I think we can both agree he’s a terrific scorer.

Rank these three in terms of how much you want them on the team next year: Ament, Juke, TT.

I'd go 1. TT (big gap) 2. Juke (small gap) 3. Ament
I’d prefer them all 😂 (duh)

But I’m taking Ament first with Juke and TT to follow bc of how our current roster is constructed.
