2026 Vols Transfer Portal Thread

VQ saying massamba will for sure not return now .. maybe need that spot 🤔
This is random and as close as I’ll get to insider status, but I was at the gym on campus yesterday and heard burg say “I would have been so sad if you hadn’t come back” to clarence so I assumed both were staying. I also heard something about BYU. Tifwiw lol

He’s gonna throw out the first pitch with a baseball filled with orange glitter. When the ball hits that catcher’s glove and that orange glitter flies in the air , he will triumphantly charge home base and be greeted by the catcher, who removes his mask and is revealed to be Juke Harris. They run the bases and high five fans as Tyler Tanner parachutes into the outfield as the PA plays “We can be heroes” by the Wallflowers.

Dont even think about asking me for my source.
Now, if somebody could make an AI video of this scenario, a person might pay good money for it although I have to say that the narrative is superlative.

I was at that game Ga. Tech vs LSU. Kenny Anderson was the fastest player with the ball I had ever seen live at that time.
Did you watch the first game, too ? Michigan St. and my boy, Steve Smith beat UC-Santa Barbara or somebody like that.

Lightfoot was a huge bust. Was probably the best player talent wise to ever come out of Chattanooga even more talented then Malcom Mackey imo and ended up going somewhere like Idaho State after junior college I think. But Vols did get CJ Black, Vincent Yarbrough, Jay Price and Harris Walker who flunked out from Chattanooga area.

Did we ever recruit even recruit Ace Bailey born and raised in Chattanooga who is now with the Utah Jazz or OKC Thunder Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who attended Hamilton Heights in Chattanooga?
Mackey ended up at Ga Tech and went in the 1st round

Since you asked, yes we did get some things coming out of at least a couple of those visits - photos, speculation by established insiders on how it was perceived to be going, etc. - while the visits were ongoing. You’re referring to announcements, intel can be more than that. Not sure what about my comment invited a snide tone but no worries.
Wasn’t a snide tone…I don’t recall much coming during those visits, Lundblade was seen at a baseball game, Rubin at the O&W game, maybe that’s what you’re referring to? There’s been no event while Hill has been here, I guess someone could’ve gone to TYS and taken a picture of him arriving, but don’t think that was needed or would mean much. I think Tennessee likes their chances of landing Hill, outside of that I don’t think we’ll hear much until after his visit ends.

You can choose whatever you like. I am telling you, as a matter of fact, not opinion, that a visit is scheduled. Again, he could change his mind. The official portal entry would happen right before the visit.
"Tanner is visiting" "But could change his mind and not"

Not really stepping out on to a limb there.

Anthony Roberts, in the early 70’s, who went to Oral Roberts, was also a huge loss…

FWIW and I really even hesitate to post this, but my contact says that TT is still very much on the table. I think we are in a wait and see mode as we have been. I’m certainly not confident, but I think it’s worth noting that from what I hear we haven’t abandoned hope yet.

I’m sure there’s a play though, Barnes has proven that the entire cycle. I’m going to ride with that trust he has built.

Yep, UCSB had a good player named Lucious Davis who scored 20+ per game and Michigan State smothered him.

Shaq was so athletic as a 17 year old big man it was ridiculous, but people forget how dominate Stanley Robert’s was in college too. Very refined post offensive skills but he couldn’t put the spoon down or work hard once he got to the NBA. Never came close to his potential while Shaq become one of the best big men ever.

Hopefully they can close this out or have a plan B with that money. Some top PG will hit portal for that money.
