Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

PS, I hope you all know that our offense is probably going to be the worst under Heupel, not being a nega-just realistic. Drops and pass pro were an issue yesterday, qbs held on to the ball too long and couldnt hit on a deep pass, granted our dbs were blanketing the wrs. Like there was no separation at all, like we literally only had 4 pass plays of 10+ yards
We return two WRs who went over 800 yards, a 1k rusher. A 5 star wr at back up, two of the most athletic TE's that Heup has ever had. And 4 out 5 starters on the o-line. I'm not buying what you're selling.

Missed the end of the game. Daughter (3) took a spill on the National Mall in DC and busted her head. Just FYI, the Smithsonians apparently do not have basic first aid supplies, even for a 3yr old with blood running down her face.

She's fine! Was a trooper. Got butterfly stitches and was lamenting that we didn't get to go to "the museum" (Natural History- her favorite) that we were on way to.

Go Vols!!
I’ll be in DC Tuesday night brother.

Not in today's scrimmage,
  • Chaz Coleman (EDGE): The Penn State transfer did not play due to "off the field" issues that Coach Josh Heupel said he needs to handle.
  • Arion Carter (LB): Missed the entire spring after undergoing foot surgery in January.
  • Daevin Hobbs (DT): Remained sidelined after undergoing foot surgery during spring practice.
  • Jordan Burns (LB): Did not dress due to injury.
  • Joakim Dodson (WR): Did not dress for the game.
  • Mike Matthews (WR): Did not participate in the main scrimmaging portion of the game.
  • Wendell Moe Jr. (OL): Did not participate in the first-team offense portion.
  • Other Noted Absences/Limited Participants
  • DaSaahn Brame (TE): Limited, did not do much during final viewing periods.
  • TK Keys (DL): Not full-go during
there were other starters out also Tyreek Keys isn't on campus yet

So it was a JV gammage?

Just remember that many of these guys would have you believe that our WR's are elite.

I definitely am putting money on Bishop getting 225+ carries this year. I could also see us using our rbs in thr passing game more this year
That's a good thing. Our RB's have hardly ever been used in the passing game other than pure outlet passes to avoid a sack.

Because they are. You have a potential first rounder this year and an all sec freshman we returning. Most of the main wr’s were either not going full speed or held out entirely. Try again.
