THIS !!! Appears E finally got to them to quit going “Homer Hunting”. Thing is, if they keep the approach they currenltly have, homers will come.

Need to get 6 out of Blanco today and then pray.
Absolutely, to me hitting is based on experience. It's such a dad gum routine based action. Getting in a rhythm by hitting singles and doubles helps you see ball better. Getting HR will come.

Went to the O/W Scrimmage. Made the dumb mistake of looking over the FF when we got home. Clueless people have no clue that they are clueless, I guess that's God's safety net.
Some observations from an old coach.
It was a SCRIMMAGE. Best takeaway is no one got hurt.
Defensive Scheme is recognizable for a change. The change was most obvious during 7 on 7. Three High safety look creates a lot of multiple looks on the back end. Used the middle safety as a low hole robber a good bit. Will help take away the intermediate crossers that killed us last year. Also would walk down late to man with the middle safety bailing deep as a centerfielder type. In team periods coverage fundamentals, run fits, leverage and tackling were all vastly improved. Norman kid looked really good upfront.
Hard to tell much on Offense. Starting OL didn't seem to get many reps. IMO McIntyre based on today alone looks a little ahead right now. All 4 RBs looked solid, although Bishop didn't get much work. WR/TEs had some drops.
PK is a cocky SOB and that's a GOOD thing. Big upgrade there it seems.

Nothing to panic about, upgrade on D and PK definitely something to be excited about.
Thank you Coach

Pulling for Rory today! If not him Cam Young or J Rose will suffice.

If not any of above, ANYONE but Scottie. If he wins, I’ll be forced to turn off the tv for a couple days..

Like for the first part. Don’t mind if Scottie wins but would much prefer someone else, especially Cam or Rose

Happy Sunday

Scripture — Gospel of Luke 9:23–24 (NIV)
“Then he said to them all: ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.
For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.

Reflection — Gospel of Luke 9:23–24
Jesus does not speak here in abstraction. He speaks plainly, almost firmly, about the shape of a life that follows Him.
“Deny yourself… take up your cross daily…”
Not once. Not in a moment of inspiration. Daily.
The call is not to erase your identity or diminish your worth. It is to loosen your grip on self-direction as the highest authority. To stop building life around preservation—of comfort, control, image—and instead build it around obedience.

“Take up your cross” was not a poetic phrase to those who first heard it. It meant surrendering the right to define your own path. It meant trust, even when that trust led somewhere difficult.
And yet, Jesus immediately reframes what seems like loss:

“Whoever wants to save their life will lose it…”
The instinct to protect, to secure, to hold tightly to what feels like “mine”—that instinct can quietly narrow a life. It keeps things safe, but small.
“But whoever loses their life for me will save it.”
This is the paradox at the center of faith: what is surrendered to Christ is not wasted—it is returned, refined, and made fuller than it could have been otherwise.
So the question becomes more personal:
Where am I gripping something too tightly—control, comfort, recognition, a certain outcome?

Prayer
Lord, You speak clearly, and I feel the weight of it. You are not calling me to comfort—you are calling me to follow.

Help me understand what it means to deny myself without losing the person You created me to be. Show me where I am holding too tightly to control, to ease, or to outcomes I want to secure on my own.

Teach me what it looks like to take up my cross today—not in theory, but in the decisions in front of me. In my work, in my conversations, in the quiet places where no one sees—shape my choices so they reflect trust in You rather than reliance on myself.

When I feel the pull to protect my own way, remind me that what I surrender to You is not lost.

Amen.

If only Levi Clark could go on a heater. Shameful when your BA is below .200.
First, glad you are home and hopefully feeling much better.

i know I sound like a broken record, but it is on Josh to fix him if he will not engage his brain. He went wider on his stance a few weeks back and it leveled his bat. He started getting hits as well as one HR. More of a rotational swing. Inexplicably he went back to what he did before. Now it is back to striding, lunging and upper cutting. He's blowing a great opportunity as well as his own career. It is a shame.

He’s not blowing his career bc he’s having a bad sophomore year

I'm ready for more basketball portal news. Men or women. Just ready for something to happen. I hate when people expect me to be patient. It's like being stuck behind a slow-ass driver in the fast lane. And no matter how much you curse, they refuse to move to the slow lane. You know they're trying to piss you off. Damn inconsiderate a-holes.

Good thing about baseball/ Is all it takes is a slight micro adjustment like barely opening up stance. Allowing him to see ball better. Making contact 1/116th on ball better, a blooper here, there. And you're 3/4 on day instead of 1 Hr, and 1 Double. Knocking the cover off every time isnt working.

I don't understand why they try to hit singles and doubles when it seems like hitting homeruns would be better.
