Why would CJH recruit a player that he isn’t going to use?

It’s fair to say we have missed on this type in the past, but you don’t recruit a player with zero intention to use their skill set.

You would be surprised. Also they aren't really recruiting Newman, but he is a very good local kid so they extended an offer. The other tight end I mentioned, Colton Johnson, was on campus while we were debating this

Will be interesting. I just know that CJH has said in the past that he has an entire playbook he hasn’t implemented that involves a pass catching tight end. Johnson has blown up recently.
