Iran has clearly showed they can successfully leverage the strait of Hormuz and disrupt the world economy.

I think Iran is expecting a land invasion and knows that it is political suicide for Americans. The appetite for war in this country is as low as I remember. This isn’t 2004. The thought of video clips being transmitted via social media to Americans of drone swarms hitting American marines in an already unpopular war would be a political catastrophe for the Republican Party. I do not know how Trump gets out of this.

100% agree. If the US electorate saw those type drones killings like the ones showing Russians and Ukrainians getting killed. It would be political suicide

I have not heard or seen any explanation why Iran gets to control the Strait. Seems like it is a shared waterway to me. Saudi Arabia and UAE should have control of their side.

This situation is, again, because America's leaders have bought into the concept that we are the world Hall Monitor. And as such, we are justified in attacking sovereign nations when we don't like what they are doing.

The blockade of the Strait is a Saudi, UAE problem. It should never be an America problem.

Because Israel and its leadership literally believe they are doing some god's work by slaughtering everyone that isn't them. Netanyahu has called the people around Israel Amalekites that deserve to be slaughtered. Christians in the country get spit on and assaulted as subhuman by regular Israelis. Likud has been overrun by ethno-supremacist nutjobs like Itamar Ben-Gvir. Trump is a vassal of old Benjamin Mileikowsky and his regard for human life matches his boss.

It was an issue seen throughout. They were known for fighting till death, very few were taken prisoner. And the way they treated their prisoners was beyond horrific. Japanese prisoners were nearly 10x more likely to die than those taken by Germany.

There really isn’t anything they can do to “protect it”. Ideally, the Iranian regime would just not do this. But it’s hard to leverage threats against the regime when we’re already in full blown war with destruction of their leadership.
