Prawl in The portal per Andraya Carter

Yeah, just a like a general sending the soldiers up hamburger hill and then complaining that the battle plan did not work because the soldiers lacked the discipline to be bullet proof.

You will see that a lot of teams are going to be jumping to sign this team of worthless losers and they will look like much better players.

Ill put 100 on that you wont hear any of em being talked bout or being key contributors on whatever team they go to. Teams sure wasnt flooding to grab Latham from Syracuse the 1st go around. Itll be the same this time. Prawl. 5* not sure on what or who gave her that rating or if her competition was just so bad they had to give so many 5* out cause wow.. She did NOTHING good. Civil & Hurst shows more potential than ANY of the freshman 🤷‍♂️ the twins are turnover prone and yank dumb shots. But yea. Go off.

Its Kim's fault for players being lazy and not caring. Not hitting shots LAYUPS might I add or getting back on defense. Hustling when their player gets by em instead they give up and just jogged. Yea 100% on Kim. Sure you're gonna say "dOnT pLaY tHeM" well who else was she gonna put in? The managers. Basketball is the 1 sport where 1 bad attitude or lazy person can ruin a team. Well TN had 3 or 4 of em.. all on the court at the same time often. Yea.. yells disaster but I wouldnt expect nothing different from a message board in these times of day.. Blame the coach/authority figure instead of the entitled lazy bums who dont get their way😂. Gives off the "let the prisoners run the prisons, instead of the warden/guards" thatd work out great im sure

No she didn’t have to play anybody she didn’t want to have on the court. Obviously Jersey played very little all season.

Prawl had 18 minutes in the last game, almost in for half the game. If she is that bad why play her that long? Civil only had 7 minutes. She must be absolutely terrible. Blue font.

Mya Pauldo had 10 minutes and Hurst had 13. No shots attempted and yes Lauren passed up shots as I yelled at the tv to shoot!!

Kim chooses to play all of these players in their 1-3 minute increments. Nobody forces her to play anyone. I saw girls yesterday playing all 40 minutes and then one or two OTs. So it is the coach’s decision to put them all on the court.

The goal of the portal is to get a better player than the one you lost as well as replace the ones that have graduated.

We could start out by getting Nene Ndiaye who is transferring from Rutgers she is a better player than Latham scored 15 ppg and shot 42 percent from the three last season. She is 6'1" rebounds well also.
Deniya Prawl could easily be replaced by Naomi White of Northen Arizona where she scored 20.5 ppg and shot 37 percent from the three or Harrison Coulibaly transferring from Auburn with three years to play average 10.5 ppg as a freshman and shot 45 percent.
Any of those three players replace these two we lost and offer far more ability than either of the two leaving ever showed.

Replacing Wynn, Wolfenbarger, Spearman and Robertson should not be that hard.

Barker is harder to replace talent wise, but maybe could get someone more team oriented.

Who else we need to replace is as yet unknown, but I can see many players in the portal that are better players than the ones graduating and the ones leaving thus far.

It’s not going to be that easy because the kids at this level doesn’t want to be subbed out every 60 seconds…

The system and hockey substitutions doesn’t work well with the athletes that want to play basketball further than college.

I’m tired of seeing post about if she gets players that buy in…

She had players at Marshall that bought in and played against a Power 5 in VTech and the results were the same against the best teams getting beat by 20+…

Kim doesn’t have a plan B with anything is going to cost this program to fall below SEC standards which we have 2’ seasons in a row….

True but if she is staying we have to hope for some players better than the ones we lost knowing that her style is tough to find those players. The ideal would be a different coach even if we had to get 12 or more new players.

Yeah we will get players but they def won’t be better than what we had just look at the kids we brought in from the portal Janiah, Jersey and Nya.

TN struck out on top players bc of this system.

Fulwilley talked with TN but thought it was best to go to LSU

Would you say any of our portal additions were better than the kids that graduated?

Volfan2012 just wondering when you provide those statistics for points per game etc, does it tell you how many minutes per game they played? If they played entire games we have to cut those stats by one third or half. They don’t mean much with our system.
I'm sure they played more minutes than some would get here. Coulibaly averaged 26, White 31, Ndaiye 31. I think Ndaiye would be a starter still getting 31 here is hard.

Our top two were 26 minutes so yes it is a problem that could only be overcome with a different coach.

The transfers we got were star players in their own right, before coming here. The system changed them.

And her system is not difficult to learn. It’s just impossible to carry out. Think of it as a variation of Quidditch.

No I see your point and agree totally on the system. Danny White can change it all on April 1st. Still whether we get anyone any good or anyone at all just have to point out who is available that would help more than who we lost even if none of them want to come here and play the two minute rotation.

not necessarily true. Cooper had more overall FGA than the highest amount of shots taken at SC. Barker averaged more FGA and points at Tennessee than at any of her other previous stops.

Janiah could have been an AA if she cared enough to compete. Biggest waste of talent I've seen in a while. If I'm a WNBA GM I stay as far away from her as possible.

Well, “star” or no “star”, none of them looked like 14 losses and a 1st round exit from the Big Dance….

Yep, all the experts just missed that these players were rotten apples to the core who had no talent or drive, even when being the national 6th player of the year. Hey it is just inexplicable why a such "bad apple" could be a good apple for another team. I mean there is just no way to explain it.

But, once all the players that Kim has brought in transfer out, then she can finally bring in "her" players who will fit the system (unless of course they too are actulally "bad apples" masquerading as good apples)

The system was just never right for this group of players. I think this was more of a half court grind it out group the way we played the first time at Bama and versus Kentucky and Texas. To be effective on offense the way she likes to take the first open shot in the run it up and shoot you need reliable three point shooters and we shot almost 900 threes while making less than 300. She needed a team to get close to 400 makes if shooting 900 which would've effectively raise the offense almost 12 points per game. May not have resulted in anymore wins because of our porous defense, but it is the way her offensive system needs to be played.

What we are learning with this last group maybe even some of the first group is that you think you want to play her system until you actually play it a few games. Then you start wishing you hadn't signed up to play it at all. It becomes really hard and physically demanding as the season progresses. We looked out of air in so many games by time the second half came around and not able to beat lower talented teams like A&M and Miss St resulted in where we are now.
I wish we could get away from the system either by her being told she will have to change it or if refusing to do so get a different coach.
I admit I got really tired of watching it this season maybe a huge part was losing, but I just grew to hate this style of play.
