We are probably going to lose to Iowa State, not because we suck, but just because they are a really really good team with more quality pieces than we've shown to have all year..but I am proud of this team, despite it's heavily scarred psyche from blowing huge leads and it's schizophrenic inconsistency..they have pulled it together at the most important time, and they played one of their best all-around games of the season tonight.

At the most important time of the year...they finished the game and beat a really good opponent, and they knocked out a dangerous underdog Friday that everybody in America was pulling for.


Great job Rick...I am really going to miss you when you go.

Anymore wins this tournament is just icing on the cake

Never imagined this team
Playing the second weekend of the tournament a month and a half ago

Ament didn't even play all that well. If he can take over Friday like he's shown he can do, we can definitely win. But he's been a no show since he came back. Need him to break out.

They got punched hard in the mouth finally...and it caused them to waver at the worst time. I have seen this happen to a LOT of great college basketball teams over the years.

Sometimes it is good to learn how to struggle to finish off a tough opponent or two in big fames during the sesson...waiting until the Dance to do it is bad juju.

Actually this happens in all sports...a team cruises to so many easy wins that when they finally run into a buzzsaw, they don't know how to handle the pressure...because there has been no pressure to handle all year.

Bad time of the year to be learning new lessons..
