Vols are a 6 seed in Midwest

Tn will best either of the two.

Have a little faith.

Vols play at 7:10 Friday night on CBS.

Don’t think it’s actually been confirmed yet. Matt Norlander is usually the one who gets the tip times and the 7:10 PM slot is based on only one reporter. Hope it’s true thought because that would be a good slot.

A lot of people will be picking us to lose in round one or two.

The only thing that matters is who gets hot. If we can play good perimeter defense against our round 1 opponent and hit our free throws against uva we could be looking at Iowa state/kentucky in S16. I wouldn’t pick us against Iowa state but I would not hesitate to take us in a revenge game against Kentucky.

If Gillespie, ament, and Estrella are all on point, we are a dangerous team. Let’s hope our guys come ready to ball. We’ll need a hot hand to be successful this tourney. Wouldn’t bet on it, but we certainly have the potential to do it.

I can only hope that Jay Bilas calls the Tennessee Virginia game so he can cry about the physicality of Tennessee against a finesse ACC team
I think Bilas generally likes Tennessee. Or am I thinking of someone else? Who has the daughter that goes here?

They freaking suck. Told us a few years ago after winning the sec tournament that it doesn’t help seeding. Now they actually said Arkansas winning the sec tournament moved them to a three seed. Unbelievable bias and just plain lying.
Ark is a four seed. It did not help them. Projected four before tournament

Bilas isn’t a TN fan. He said TN was playing football when we beat Duke. He’s made other similar comments over the years.
He's generally pretty favorable to Tennessee. I agree that Duke game he cried but otherwise he has always been complimentary of the Vols

It seems likely to me since we are playing a team that will be part of the first four. If it’s an early game they’d literally be playing and traveling on a 36 hour turnaround.

Edit: confirmed a little earlier.

Virginia just went toe to toe with the best team in basketball. I think both Michigan state and Illinois are worse 3 seeds than Virginia and I don't think Tennessee could beat Michigan state or Illinois.

with that said our draw could have been a lot worse, I just don't think it matters this year we don't have the team to take advantage of it.
Duke is not the best team right now
