And I don't get what so many people's problem was with the greatest sport in the world that they feel the need to endlessly tinker to make it "better" (i.e., to make themselves richer at the expense of everything that made the sport unique)With just two teams in the championship, the games for the other 8-10 top teams were still somewhat meaningful. When the playoffs expanded, the remaining bowls became meaningless. If you mean that the people in charge are responsible for that change, then sure. Like it or not, the fix is to make them meaningful by making them playoff games.
I really don't get why so many are against more football. If we get in when we "didn't deserve it", we'll likely get smoked, but unlike a worthless exhibition game against a mid BIg10 team, that game will mean something.
Here’s a question for yall … would you rather focus money on football to be elite UGA/Ohio State level every year BUT have mediocre mens basketball? Or, spread the money around and be pretty good at everything?Ohhh, Conference Title. Sorry. Should never be that long since a conference title for us. Is Football still even our main sport?
I really like basketball. Football is my first love but basketball is so fun...Here’s a question for yall … would you rather focus money on football to be elite UGA/Ohio State level every year BUT have mediocre mens basketball? Or, spread the money around and be pretty good at everything?
This verse got my wife and I thru her bout with breast cancer. That is something I wouldn't wish upon my worse enemy......it's a very scary thing.Happy Tuesday

Joshua 1:9 (NIV)
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Reflection
Joshua wasn’t stepping into comfort.
Moses was gone. The wilderness years were over. The promise was ahead — but so were fortified cities and unknown battles.
And God doesn’t say, “You won’t face resistance.”
He says, “Be strong and courageous.”
Courage isn’t the absence of fear.
It’s obedience in spite of it.
Notice the wording:
“Have I not commanded you?”
Strength here isn’t optional. It’s not personality-based. It’s commanded because it’s rooted in something deeper than emotion.
“For the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
The courage is coming from God’s presence.
You don’t have to manufacture bravery.
You have to remember who walks with you.
Prayer
Lord, You know the places where I feel the weight of responsibility. You see the transitions in front of me — the steps that require trust before clarity. Help me not to shrink back in fear or stall in discouragement. Remind me that courage is not self-generated; it flows from Your presence. Wherever You lead me, steady my heart. Let me walk forward not loudly, but faithfully — strong because You are with me. Amen.
So the BCS was better than playoffs? Math > games? We'll agree to disagree. And I don't get what so many people's problem was with the greatest sport in the world that they feel the need to endlessly tinker to make it "better" (i.e., to make themselves richer at the expense of everything that made the sport unique)
