Nobody should be upset we are letting heard walk

Im not upset. Not happy either. Like odds of him not getting better after another offseason would be low but maybe he is what he is. Experience wise and continuity would be reasons for him to stay. However, if Sanders is taking over at that position, new era to begin and get going.

Fine either way

You question if the sun is going to come up each morning. But I was addressing the notion that one skill set would have any relationship on the other.
Does the sun really come up? I was under the impression that the earth's rotation just made the sun visible each morning. I could be wrong though

Miami is winning with defense. They paid Beck $4MM for him not to lose them the game, that's it so far. Oregon beat TT bc of their defense. #1 offense in the SEC and we lost 5 games.

Get a competent QB from the portal and build a 2024 elite defense. If our budget is $12MM than get all positions of need
They all have really really good Defense.
Not a dimes worth of difference between the 4.
Dante Moore and Oregon offense is much more capable of handling a really good D than TT’s offense is, and they won 23-0.

Ohio state O line could only get 45 yards rushing and gave up 4 sacks.

0 points and 14 points aren’t winning games against top 5 teams.

Seen a few questioning in RF. I mean I think for the amount we were paying him you just let him walk. Flip David to LT and Perry to RT who by the way played better than David there. Go take the money and buy a safety or DT.

Heupel letting coaches go, and now these guys leaving makes me think tough conversations are being had and he’s trying to fix this much more aggressively.

Hope I’m right. I want him to succeed here. High floor coach, but he needs better staff, and players to get a higher ceiling.

Beating out Michigan for Warren was one of the biggest recruiting wins this staff had a few years ago. Really wish it would have worked out for another year just to have some more depth at the position.

Wonder if this has more to do with Heard or if the staff think that Perry is a tackle.
Wouldn’t be surprised if the staff felt the money could be spent better elsewhere since Perry can play tackle too. Sanders, heard, Perry as your 1st 3 tackles. I know it’s a position where it’s nice to have depth, but hard to justify paying big dollars for it.

Edit: scratch the Heard part off the list. I can’t keep up.

We were not going to pay Heard LT money to play RT. And this development says he didn't want to get paid RT money to play RT.

The Warren Bennett development certainly stings. Maybe during exit meetings he asked for assurances about the RT position and the coaches indicated Perry was an option at RT?
