Idk the kid but my concern meter for the locker room would be higher than were he not on the team.

The history of HS > transfer to different HS > transfer back to other HS (I think it was the same one) all within like one calendar year + committed to ND > flipped to AUB > transfer portal after one season.

Yeah GT is the same as Vandy to me.

Good HCs that had to rely way too much oh one player and that player is gone. Now what?

I doubt he would come here to compete to start. Which is what he would have to do.

Him and Coleman have LSU written all over them to me.

I wouldn’t say I WANT him to start, but wouldn’t be all that alarmed if he did. We went 10-2 with Nico starting as a RS freshman. I wasn’t impressed w nico at all and I don’t know why GMac couldn’t be at least as good or better. Now the defense may not be that lights out in Knowles first year like it was in 24.


I think some of y’all (and I’m not saying this in a derogatory way) have forgotten what college football is. There has always been turnover and it’s very normal to expect 2nd year guys to start. We have a long history of second or even first year guys starting.

I guess the porthole has changed perception, but I still think there is value in getting more playing time out of your own HS investments…. IF they are ready.

I’m not saying GMac is ready, but if the coaches think he is I wouldn’t be worried or opposed, other than depth concerns.

The only one I think may be worth it is Leavitt. He checks a ton of boxes and may be a legit heisman candidate here.

If we miss on him I’m good dropping down to a solid one year G5 QB you bring in to compete.

Lmao no he's not one of the "insiders". I'm talking about these guys that pop up during this exact time of year, promise all these big time things, mystery portal guys, recruits, etc and the same thing that is happening below your post happens. Player A interested still? No. Or 50/50. Ok player B? That's cooling a bit. Same song a dance, buddy. Once you see the light, it won't give an inch of stress.

AP is just as bad. Cats pay him for info and he has a story written for after it drops while saying nothing for months. Paying a guy to know something and keep it to himself until his knowledge is no longer relevant is a wild thing to do.
