Unless Jeremiah Smith, Carnell Tate, or Mario Craver is planning to enter the portal (they aren’t) you’re not going to find a better, more talented, and more productive receiver from this season to replace Matthews. It’s not that easy.

Bump his pay, keep him on the roster, and keep some much needed consistency on O for our new QB next year. Stayley and Matthews is an elite returning core, and if Keys is what everyone expects him to be then we’ll have the best receiving corps in the SEC.

VQ mentioned going after a LB as well. Not sure I agree with that, would be more of a want than a need imo.

All those positions mentioned would need to be plug and play guys/impact players.

Mike is fine and a Vol. He wants more money as do a lot of players and he will get it. People posted nonsense from Basilio and got this place in an uproar.

Hyatt had a promising freshman year 2020, started in 2021 and had drops constantly, fixed it and won the Biletnikoff in 2022. Mike had some bad drops but was also very productive. I’m sure he knows what he needs to work on this off season

What exactly has he done this offseason? He’s going through the same process every player does in their exit interview work, this is the new CFB. He hasn’t held out or threatened to hit the portal this year people are just freaking out over nothing.

The WRs were obviously going to get more money this off-season. Staley has no controversy around him. This is the second year in a row where Matthews has been rumored to be flirting with the portal. I hope Mike gets his money, but fans will react to how players go about their business. You see it in the NFL off season also

He threatened to enter the portal last season. It seems as if that may have happened again and there are enough rumblings to warrant AP addressing it. I think he has probably earned a raise of some sort. I’m just saying I don’t like that he does it. I want him
To stay.

Agreed. He's been unimpressive so far and there's the transfer rumors. We need one of those big, 220+ RB's for the redzone. We were terrible in the redzone and couldn't run it down there very consistently. We need a big, bruising RB to compliment Bishop. A Baugh type would be huge in this offense. There's a few in the portal that size that have played well, hope we target one

Funny how Briles has been hired for every job he’s gotten while currently employed from the schools he was at. Meanwhile Hazle has simply moved up at Tennessee and has never been pursued heavily by other schools.

You don’t know ball if you are seriously taking the position that Hazle is somehow a better OC than Briles when it comes to their bodies of work.

Briles hasn’t been OC in title only at FSU, Arkansas, TCU, and now South Carolina.

Joey Hazle can’t say the same.

Me saying a school would have a leg up in the pursuit of Hoover by going out and hiring Briles is not “guaranteeing where Hoover goes”…

And on top of it, Lanorris Sellers is returning so you’d have to be a moron to think Beamer would pursue a QB in the portal

Somehow you can’t comprehend that. I can get crayons out if it helps?
