VolQuest's Austin Price joined 104.5 The Zone's Ramon and Will on Tuesday for his weekly appearance and he shared some insight on the situation with Bey.

"He reached out to Tennessee on Signing Day and wanted back in (with the Vols)," said Price. "Tennessee was expecting him to go to Ohio State to start the day. Obviously, they would love to have him, so they take him. He's on the phone when he signs the scholarship papers. Josh Heupel comes in there and meets the media. Shortly after that, I text [Bey] and he says he'll do the interview. He calls me. We're on the phone. I mean, it doesn't sound like he's being held hostage.

"He's a kid -- it's okay [that he's all over the map]," add Price. "And I think that's where Tennessee's at with it. Again, some of the embellishment -- like that he's being held hostage -- let's just call it what it is, [the embellishment from] the Ohio State media is a bit much. But I would also tell you that Ohio State was totally on the phone with him after he signed with Tennessee (which isn't allowed)...So, it is what it is. Let the kid go do his thing. If it's at Ohio State, it's at Ohio State. If it's somewhere else, it's somewhere else. Let the kid be happy."

10% of 20 kids is the top 2...

I graduated from a small school, so small they decided class rank by total grade average (not GPA, we had so many with 4.0s) so the top 2 would be separated by tenths of a point...

So now our small school gets punished because even though 10 kids meet the requirements and have 4.0 GPAs only 2 or 3 are in the 10% because of how small the class size is.
Yeah and unless its changed, no advanced classes to get higher than a 4.0. I wouldn't change that experience for nothing but my kids definitely have more choices than I did.

Might be in for a surprise. I think the owners are gonna dig their heels in on this, mainly because of the Yankees being fed up. Watch for the Pirates and the Marlins of the world to spend big this winter (relative to the past) heading into next year. MLB has basically "encouraged" them to do so headed into the contact negotiations at the end of next year.

The argument is gonna be the guys on the lower end are getting ran over by the top end guys. That's how every other league has gotten a cap passed. More $ for the lower level guys instead of the top 10 to 20%. They shut it down for a year, the players are gonna get squeezed. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. And a cap brings a floor with it as well. And the spread between the 2 is not that great. Revenue sharing will be bigger than it is now too.
Owners have been attempting to dig their heels in, and break the Players Union, for 50 years….

I would be beyond shocked.

Lol what are The Yankees “fed up” about?

Brutal man! I’m so sorry to hear. Jesus has him now

Dodgers

Honestly, that's kind "Rich" coming from that Franchise... Nobody was complaining when Yankees won 4/5 from 96-2000 ... Probably should've won more from 1996-2003...

If payrolls were so important, than the Dodgers should've won 10/13 World Series... biggest payroll except for 3 seasons...
