Tim Banks is gone

I really like Banks and hadn’t totally gave up on him but I’m ok with this. Proof, pudding, something

Using history as an indication.

William Inge will be promoted to DC.

Someone on staff will be promoted to a position coach.

Banks was not the problem. It starts at the head coach. Banks was good last year. But when you do not bring in the players or develop them your going to have a fall off. Banks did not miss a field goal against Georgia that would of won the game. Bama, Georgia, Ohio St does not have years where they are not good on O-line or D-line. CJH needs to step it up in these areas.
His defense couldn't even stop Kentucky in the second half.

Be careful what you wish for. The NextGen AI Analytics Ouija board says there's a greater chance of a downgrade than an upgrade.

If Coach Garner decides to move to Alabama for family, coaching or not coaching, I hope we've got solid plans.

The D staff needed changing but I just hope we can get some hard nosed, take accountability voices on the D side.
I haven’t heard anything about Auburn reaching out to Garner, but you have to think it’s a real possibility he takes it if offered. Coach Chop is great on the recruiting trail but it’s just as important if not more to develop.

I’m interested to see what the DC does if he’s an external hire.

Who exactly did he develop into day 1 picks? Hood nor McCoy will go 1st Rd, I guarantee you that. Secondly, they were both transfers that had already been developed. Who has he recruited and developed into an elite DB? And don't say Gibson, at best he's a day 2 pick.
We could save a lot of money by not having a CB coach at all. Just get players from the portal who are already fully developed and let them go without a coach, since portal players can’t be developed anyway. Hell, let’s do this for every position! We’ll save so much money because your post is definitely not ridiculous at all!

Word is that Coach Garner wants to go back to Alabama for family reasons. He probably has older parents and wants to be there. Great coach and my favorite on the staff but can't blame him if that's the case.

Marion Hobby, Jerod Mayo, Dale Jones, Al Wilson. Any of them qualified ? Smoky posts the Hobby qualifications - what about the others?
