Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Fans are are f****** stupid ass morons.
They can be. But my point remains. Fans support coaches by purchasing tickets, contributing money, purchasing merch. If fans quit doing those things because they are not enjoying the performance of the team, coaches get fired.

Hate it for Banks. Ultimately he's responsible for it all. When you go 4/5 years, with what we have access too. And field one of worst in SEC. It kinda writes itself. Kudos to Josh for making the right decision.

Will be bumpy here for a bit, may lose some guys. But was the right call.

Buying players has to get better. Talent eval has to get better. Honestly, i'm not impressed at all with Martinez' ability to recruit and make guys better. He and Banks have been pedestrian, outside of lucking into two porthole guys.
Fixed it for you...this ain't "recruiting" any more

Appreciate the time that Banks gave this university especially in 2021 when not a lot of people wanted the job. Solid d coach the past few years up until this year but sometimes things just do not work out. Wish him the best.

Hope we get someone with proven college experience and a solid recruiter. Don’t know much about his prior experience but if Inge was involved with 2023 Washington defensive playcalling would be ok choice.

If Vols would’ve made the CG last year and lost to UGA like Bama did, do you feel like the Vols should’ve been left out?
Nope.

Championship games shouldn’t hurt any team if many other teams sitting at home get a benefit from it. Why even play if it risks the playoffs then? Just forfeit.

If anyone should be mad, it is BYU and no one is talking about it. Playoff rankings should be finalized before conference championship games. ND, OU, A&M, and others should not benefit from other teams losing because they couldn’t or wouldn’t play in a championship game.
