It ain’t luck , it’s good coaching.Vanderbilt ain't Vanderbilt this year...a huge amount of idiots still haven't figured that out. Their greatest strength, which is the best player in CFB, a generational freak of nature, was dead aimed right at our greatest weakness, our among sad injury riddled defense, among the worst defenses in CFB. I tried to tell everyone what was coming...but all everyone said was...It's Vandy.
The problem is...that ain't a real.Vandy team, just like Indiana ain't a real Indiana team....both have gotten extremely lucky with evals and LONG term development of really low ranked players who have almost all hit big...along with both programs winning the Portal lottery. Both of those programs are going to fall hard next year when they lose all of those players.
The Banks news will swallow this, but i would put Indiana in the first tier. I doubted them against Ohio State and, while it wasn’t pretty, a win is a win. I’d say they’re solid on defense, do enough on offense, not ain’t afraid. That’s quite a combo. UGA is maybe tier 1B.Ohio State and Georgia clear favorites.
Oregon kind of in this "could, but can't" tier just below them
Indiana is a fun story but I don't think they can win it all. I think they match up well with OU, TTU, or Oregon out of their side of the bracket. They're all defensive teams, and I think Indiana would have the edge. However, by the time they play UGA or OSU out of the other side of the bracket, with those teams rolling and having confidence, I think talent and depth will show and Indiana will fall short.
Then talented but flawed teams: Alabama, A&M, Oklahoma, Miami
Ole Miss, JMU, Tulane have too much going on right now to think they can do anything. TTU not deep enough, yet.
