What record will we have in 2026?

Think before you speak. Because you will be held accountable of your prediction, and that will warrant any level of dialogue and or the amount of dissatisfaction your allowed to have apparently.

Home: Furman, Kennesaw St, Alabumas. Auburn, KY. LSWho, Texas. Away: Georgia Tech, USC east, Texas A&M, Vandy.
What does everyone think? Maybe 7 & 5? 6 & 6? 5 & 7?
Wins: OOC games; Auburn, Kentucky, Vandy; USCe; Losses:TAMU; Texas; Alabama, Texas 8-4 MAYBE with FROSH quarterback, IF......IF we get a new DC then maybe my mind changes BUT there are SOOOO many unknowns with other teams but OOC games and Vandy and USCe SHOULD be gimme games this upcoming year so 5 guarantee wins and 3 guarantee losses bama, Texas and maybe LSU

Yea set the bar low so when we s**t the bed we can accept the failure of mediocrity.
I'm setting it based on current conditions. If nothing gets changed on defense and we are breaking in a completely new QB against a tougher conference scheudle next year, theres no way we exceed 9 wins and 9 wins would he a heck of an accomplishment at that.

Why do we expect Tenn, the youngest or 2nd youngest in the SEC, to suck even worse next year? Do you think this is some gauntlet?
Because of our coaching staff. Expectations could obviously change with some great portal pickups and upgrading a few Assistants. Youth was NOT our issue this year. Bad tackling, players on defense consistently out of position and that includes the veteran players, zero in game adjustments, some bad playcalling and undisciplined, stupid penalties. And throw in some turnovers at really bad times.

Kind of need to see the shakeup that every roster will go through to have any idea. Way, way, way too early to even consider any record...

Indiana brought in 23 new players for their 2025 roster and one is in contention for the Heisman. This lead to them winning the Big 10 and being # 1 going into the college football playoffs. Tennesse could possibly do something similar and impact 2026.

Hold your conversation until next May or June.. :)

Whatever game I go down for, Vols will win. If you want an undefeated season, please donate to the Heaven University Tickets/Food/Gas/Tolls/Hotel/Parking Go Fund Me page as generously as possible. All overflow donations will be used for some other worthwhile cause such as Vols
Maybe any leftover money can be used to install a trough urinal in your house.

We are not getting a new DC.

If we don't go big in the portal 7-5 to 8-4. Our development of younger players has not been too good. Then we will have a young QB playing in the SEC.

Too early to say. As much as we want to, there is too much roster movement nowadays to really know what we have until that's settled. We'll have a better idea after the Portal window closes.

Pretty much have to project based on our past 5 years history.
That basically means no significant staff changes, minimal help
from the portal and scrutinizing the schedule. Based upon those
assumptions, 8-4 ceiling and probably 7-5 actual.
