So if Bama wins, they get to play Indiana. I think that's a pretty good matchup for them to be honest.

Ty Simpson has a great case of the yips though. Indiana's D might have him seeing ghosts

I think it will be UGA vs Texas Tech or Indiana for the natty.
If so, this is a real down year. UGA does not scream title team. Or maybe there's just that much parity.

Not even a 1 YPP margin 👀 Yikes. They haven't been that low through the regular season since 2016.

GT still should have had them last week, 2 years running 🤮 As we should have too 🤢🤮🤮🤮

Start the bowl speculation.

Reliaquest vs. Iowa

Gator vs. Georgia Tech

Music City vs. Illinois

I hope to never see the Vols in the MCB again.
I dont think GA Tech because we play at Atlanta next year.
Either of the other two matchups are boring AF.

Give me someone fun like South Florida

ND should not sniff a playoff birth without an undefeated season unless they join a P4 conference.

Period.
What's the basis?

They have a higher SOS than 4 of the playoff teams, including Miami.

Just curious, because it feels arbitrary as long as SOS is considered...who cares?

ND’s undoing is its SOS and not playing in a conference. You can’t get by playing service academies and a few ACC teams.

ND needs to either go all in on ifs partnership with the ACC and join the conference or knock on the door of The Big 10.
The reason they don't is money - NBC money to the tune of $50 M per year. Eff 'em. When other P4's stop scheduling OOC then maybe they can tough it out with the rest of the big boys.

Because you can somewhat compare them to peers. By being stand alone, they get the benefit of being a historical powerhouse and the brand gets bumped.

In all seriousness Bama shouldn’t have “dropped” for losing a conference championship game. My issue was they just shouldn’t have been ranked that high to begin with. They should have been in the Virginia position where the only shot they have making it is to win the championship game. Miami over ND has to happen, you can’t ignore head to head with teams with identical records. I think it would have been more appealing to have Bama as the 10 and Miami as the 9 though

Vandy actually has a pretty good resume, but losing H2H at Bama who was a bubble team is not going to get you in.

Had they taken care of business at Texas they wouldn't have been in this position.
