'26 NC QB Faizon Brandon (Tennessee)

With our QB situation uncertain, should we be concerned about Matthews or Staley hitting the portal because they are worried about production going down w/ Aguilar potentially not coming back?

Anybody that’s in the know care to comment?

Why would they give up on Faizon, Keys, Staley, Matthews. Hell, that's built for a natty.

Faizon will start next year, and get a natty in 2027. Its how the whole operation is built. If they round out Faizon, Mathews, Keys, Staley, DGG for 2027. Got dang....Gotta keep them in house.

It’s not all about a Natty unfortunately. Staley and Matthews will be 3 years removed from high school after next year, meaning they’re eligible for the draft following the 2026 year.GMAC is unproven and Faizon is an unproven True freshman against Bama, Texas, Texas A&M , Auburn, LSU, Vandy, USCjr, UK and Arkansas and GT. If I’m trying to be a productive WR and have similar #’s as this year I’d like to know who my QB is. Draft or no draft that should be a concern for everybody .

Agree. Brandon never wavered. Never even gave us any reason to question his commitment. He never took a visit. Now I hate it when some of our fans who say it’s no big deal when a committed recruit takes OVs and UOVs. Because it is a big deal. Did Fazion take visits? No. That’s what commitment really means.

Typical Tennessee Fan response.
Our players - for some reason - can never excell as true freshman according to you all

Malik Washington - TrFr QB for Maryland
- 3300 total yards and 21 TDs
And he's not as good as Faizon Brandon

So you're worried?? Because we have
- Veteran WRs that are looking to have big year
- Veteran Oline
- Veterans RBs
- Year 4 Ethan Davis, Year 2 Brame and Year 2 Dorsealer

Defense will be better because of ,2025 and 2026 recruiting classes..Speedy veterans at LB and EDGE. Will they be too 5th again - probably not. But they'll be way better than 85th

It sounds like this could be a very optimal position for a true freshman QB tho thrive in.
Oh but not just any QB. The Best HS QB in America...

What is this you all stuff? I never said that a true freshman can’t be successful, I just said it could be a legitimate concern for a wideout . This is coming from someone in school at the the same time that Clausen started and Ainge and Schaeffer started .
