'26 TX WR Legend Bey (Tennessee)

Imo I don’t think Harline leaving was shared and was a surprise yesterday morning that didn’t go over well with the family. Maybe they felt like bait and switch happened. I would. You know they asked Hartline “will you be at OSU?” Seems the Henry kid and family didn’t like how it went down.
All jmo.

🙏 this guy stays here long run. Listening to Ainge and they were talking like his parents made him come here but he wanted to be at Ohio St

What’s the real story? Did the kid really just sign because of him mom?
No, but may have been influenced by her desire to have him coached by a stable high character staff with enough games close enough to travel to by his inner circle, quantity unknown. Family dynamics are variables and weighted differently by each player and tight group.

Ok son, guess we will have to watch from the couch might have been a factor, Knoxville is not close enough for routine attendance but many games over the 3-4 years would be in practical driving range. Big 10 not so much.

My guess anyway.

Good for Boo that he left ,this young man would take over return duties. Coach JH will find ways to get the ball in his hands.

If he really hated UT that much why did he commit here in the summer and stay committed for over 4 months? Why did he continue to communicate with the staff even after flipping to OSU?

Regardless of how he ended up in this class, just be appreciative that we have such a special playmaker on this roster. If he leaves down the line so what.

You have to worry about your roster on a one year basis in this current era.

Hartline leaving is powerful. Rumors of Henry going to USF tells that story.

He was decked out in full OSU gear this morning, definitely feels wrong. Maybe them losing Hartline would have changed his mind eventually, but I hate to see meddling family. Did staff learn nothing from Nico/Boo?
That’s what I’m thinking.
Sounds like he didn’t flip back because he wanted to. More mamma wanted him to.

If he’s not on the field playing a lot from week 1 he’s probably not going to be happy

just as a reminder, insiders on the other board and AP both said Vols were gaining late traction with Bey before he signed

AP's response to people freaking out yesterday: "This is some of you all just fabricating some storyline of the worst case scenario"

also said Bey would still be with Vols at end of Jan

added: "Tennessee has been working on this for the last several weeks and it has been close to flipping numerous times… There are layers to this one that I simply can’t explain but he loves Kelsey Pope and really likes Tennessee."

did you see the 247 report on how everything went down? I would definitely be concerned with him leaving at the 1st opportunity
you mean the rumors and drama designed to generate clicks and shares?

the "sources" are obviously not represented at all by anyone from the Tennessee side
