The best thing that could happen this year is BYU wins the Big12 and ND is left out. Make it known that they need to join a conference and win. If they had this year, then it’s no question they are in. They need a message sent because other schools have to be getting tired of their scheduling and free ride.

It's not one subpar season. Last year is really the only good defense we've had under Banks. Not every year has been as bad as this year, but far more "meh" seasons than good ones.

To be fair to Banks: our defense ranks in ppg allowed in the SEC: 24-3rd, 23-4th, and 22-5th.

And they wouldn't be getting squat if people didn't see us beating Bama, Florida, #1 in Y2, in the playoffs, etc.

It takes both. Look at ticket prices and sellouts vs the bad days. That isn't spyre/nil. Just belief and hope in the product.

Both obviously have been a factor in the talent coming to Tennessee now but if I had to give a percentage is 55/45 in favor of NIL... The NIL is more important to these young men now, not the Tradition.

Chris Henry Jr perhaps by his dads alma mater WVU and Julian Walker is from Irmo, SC so perhaps Clemson or Jr offering competitive packages…
