Fun fact - Johnny Majors didn’t win 9 games or more at Tennessee until year 7

If we win the bowl game, Heupel will have won at least 9 games every year but his first. He’s also exceeded 9 wins twice, which hadn’t been done at TN even once since 2007.

He walked into this job and immediately was handed a large NCAA cloud over his program. He made no excuses and went to work and got us right back into the mix of the college football world. After the years we spent on the outside looking in we should be grateful for him.

I’ve been very negative since the Vandy game. But this is the exact response we needed out of Heupel today and we shouldn’t even be surprised tbh.

In the 3 years that @dascoop has been posting, has he ever dropped any info on coaching searches? He's absolutely legit on recruiting; but, I cant recall if he's ever brought nugs on the staff? If he does, pay attention.

It’s just me, but I think I would reach out to Jaden Baugh at Florida. If nothing else, just to gauge interest. He’s 235 and can weave through a defense like he weighs 190 or he can be a bruiser.

I’m not sure we’ve ever had a great kicker. Comparing him to our best isn’t a great measuring stick. I can only recall one of our kickers in the NFL in the past 20 years.

Karl Kremser was a great kicker.

I wouldn’t compare him to Majors. Entirely different situations both were coaching under. Could you imagine this team without transfers or players playing past normal eligibility rules. We have one OL recruit that has played in 5 years. 3 of our starting secondary was transfers. A couple DL are drawing social security and we have a transfer there as well. George/Merk would be our starting qb.

I love Heup and the job that he has done. All the complaints about our rich fans and DW. Today was possible bc of them. I am very thankful for their support of our programs. Let’s go and win a championship!!!
