Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Chop is a great recruiter, and I would hate to lose that...the recruiting. However, the jury is MOST DEFINITELY still out on whether that dude can coach or not. Our edge rush was total garbage this year, outside of the flashes here and there; and, we should have been well beyond just flashes at LEO. The last half of the season, I've had to ask if Joshua Josephs even dressed out or not...and, Caleb Herring disappeared long before that.

The recruiter...would miss, absolutely.
The coach...won't miss him in the slightest.

Think I've seen a person or 2 on here mention they serve in advisory roles (planners, no solely S7 canoe salesmen please),

On the question of maxing out retirement vehicles, anything to add (W-2, filing MFJ)?

401k $26.5k in 2026

IRA $7.5k

HSA $8.75k.

No need to go into the roth/trad, phase-outs, blah blah. But am I missing any other potential vehicles on the surface?

I’ll trust the RG leaving talk about as much as I did the CJH to Penn State talk.

His wife still lives there and her sister recently passed away so she is taking care of her kids. If it was just the wife there I would stay in Knoxville. LOL

Are you saying you need a Canoe Salesman? OC-1 WW, outrigger, saddle/no saddle, flatwater?

Agreed. Season 2 is such a disappointment that I didn’t give the rest a chance.

The other 2 are good but not great. Season 1 of True Detective and Band of Brothers are incredible. Probably the two best 1 season shows ever. I'm not counting the other seasons of TD since they are different actors and storylines

3* safety….. I also wonder how good Curtis is as a recruit. He plays in the lowest classification for private schools in Tennessee and didn’t compete in the elite 11 camp.
Right? That's what I've been saying. I'm sure he's talented, but a top 5 overall recruit is wild when he is an older recruit who played in a weak division in a state that doesn't have a ton of top end high school taken up begin with.
