Another fricking great ppv!! I mean every match was a banger and had me on the edge of my seat. The “No Holds Barred” Match is a neat idea. It’s something that AEW could develop into a signature match.
It seemed to be more submission focused. Or at least that's how they booked it and the call was focused on it. I reminded me of an old NXT UK match. I'm not sure if there were actual rule differences. But like I said it needs to be developed more.Another fricking great ppv!! I mean every match was a banger and had me on the edge of my seat.
Really enjoyed the gauntlet match too. Ricochet is doing the best work of his career! I agree , totally deserved.
Most of the matches had the outcomes I thought they would, but maybe not in the manner of finish. Good twists.
How is the "No Holds Barred" match any different than the "No-DQ" match??
Iyo did a similar spot in an NXT War Games when she was there. It was bad@$$!!! The women's division is the only thing that makes me occasionally want to check out WWE.Well,I ordered the Survivor Series PPV/PLE an hour after it came on. I was burned out after the Tennessee blowout with football so I figured id give the ESPN app a shot. I dont think ill do it again.
I watched 3 out of the 4 matches. The women's Wargames seemed a little bit of a letdown outside of Iyo Sky doing a swanton bomb in a trashcan off the top of the cage.Pretty cool spot.
Cena/Dom was a lot of fun even with all the run-ins. It was cool to see Liv Morgan back. Now,im hoping Cena wins his last match.
Vaquer/Nikki was a glorified squash. I don't think Nikki is in good ring shape which shows. Vaquer is definitely the future of the women's division. Strap a rocket to her and push her to the moon.
I didnt get to see the men's wargames. It started buffering after what seemed to be 5 minutes of ads and the next thing I know after 5 minutes, and trying to fix the problem, the end of the show comes up to the end of the show and ruins it for me me. Very frustrating and never had that happen on Peacock.
It sucks on ESPN now. It’s clunky and hard to skip ahead or rewind depending on when you’re watching. Also, and maybe I’m just bitter they sold out and have chosen not to remember, but I don’t remember having this amount of ads on peacock. I remember it was mostly WWE stuff and maybe 30 to 45 second spots. ESPN it feels like 3-5 minutes of advertising each break!Well,I ordered the Survivor Series PPV/PLE an hour after it came on. Punk isn’t capable of carrying as much of the match either, unlike KO was and did. Nothing against Punk, as I like him, but he’s old himself. That’s a 100% false. No reason to bring him back for a Punk match when you have a variety of different options and current roster talent available. Plus, Austin is ancient. I can’t imagine him still having it.
