I don't want to hear what you're doing with the cook's meat. This is a family site! Here is my thing: we have no idea who all is involved in calling plays. I don't think Litrell can do it, but if you don't think he's involved in play design to at least some extent then I don't know why we'd have him on staff. I think that's the idea behind it. If the kitchen is big enough, the more cooks the better the meal.
And yet, we are near the top of the conference every year in scoring.Unpopular opinion:
Heupel is not the QB whisper we make him out to be, evidence:
-Hendon Hooker was already on the roster when Heup got here, Heup still brought in Milton and started milton over him until he got hurt, he essentially lucked into Hooker
-Milton was average
-Tayven Jackson: bust
-Nico: Bust
-Merk: likely transferring, therefore bust
-joey: decent, just very sporadic
GMac: AP makes it sound like he wont be the starter next year, essentially said on a pod that the QB for next year isnt on the roster yet
Brandon: ?
And yet, we are near the top of the conference in scoring every year.See this is what I want..a kid who we recruited develop into the system and we deal with the growing pains until he flourishes under the lights.im so burnt out on one and done players from the portal and i have no idea where it came from as to why everyone thinks we needs a portal qb?…like JH is a QB guru right?!?? Then why is he not developing his own qb’s that he recruited out of high school and putting them on the field to gain reps?!…how many blowout games did we have this year and didn’t even see the 2’nd and 3rd strings until late in the 4th never really opening the playbook for them?
*grade of slawAccording to who?
Not saying he did or didn't, but without being there I take camp reports (especially from VQ folks) with a grain of salt.
I will say I am in the camp that GMac can be the dude next year. Joey only had an abbreviated offseason to learn the offense and was able to run it at a high level.
No . You’re acting like they were a top ten team that had a few bad plays go against them. This team very easily could have been 11-1 or undefeated. Just as easily as they could have been 6-6.
Don’t know what there is to take from that but it’s pretty wild to me.
That's funny. I had this moron in front of me come to a complete stop at a stop sign when there was nobody coming in either direction. I laid on the horn and flipped him off. Doesn't he know I've got places to be?Saw a person honk at the driver today, for stopping abruptly in front of them. I could see how it made them mad, person was completely wrong to stop.
At the stop sign.
I’m sure the defensive stats and effort this year really helpedBrilliant, let’s keep sowing discontent and creating doubt in every defensive recruit we have with a move before signing day!!!! Trying to work our way to the bottom of the conference in fan ratings.
Let CJH and DW (getting the money) handle the staffing and the portal before you lay your cards on the table. Those that think they are due credit for changes and additions in the near term are certified egotistical idiots. But sit back and watch the backslapping among these guys!
You are seriously saying, on record, we win more games if Nico stayed? Not entirely true my friend..say what you want about Nico but the offense was truly predictable last year and I’m not buying the whole Nico playbook malpractice BS..if you put Nico in the offense we had this year i don’t think we lose some of those games..solely on the fact he’s a better runner than Joey.i truly believe last year Josh gave 100% control responsibilities to Haz and fumbled.fast forward to this year Josh was more involved in calling plays,it was a completely different look in comparison.
I don’t think haz put Nico in the best position to score points.if you go back and look at the comments he made i didn’t take it as him saying we sucked from a depth standpoint I think he was implying our OC playing calling sucked and he wasn’t wrong.
Your post I quoted didn't have a quote, so I thought you were trying to use subjunctive in that one. I was genuinely supporting your attempt to do so, wasn't intending to squabble. In the second case yes, but I wasn't referring to the second. In the first case the full implied meaning was: if stars were important then five-star Jackson Arnold might could be brought in on the cheap. The context revolved around the hypothetical of Merk leaving & JA staying hence my comment went to the question of bringing in an affordable 3rd string.
PS I didn't link it cause didn't want to take the squabble bait.
I didn't take you as baiting me. I took your post as earnest. I didn't quote the post I was responding to generally because I saw that as bait. I figured my message would get through. I understand how you might have been confused. The fog of the click wars is real.Your post I quoted didn't have a quote, so I thought you were trying to use subjunctive in that one. I'm guessing there was a post you intended to quote, it often doesn't show up for me either.
-APAs of right now, there isn’t any buzz on guys committed here in terms of flipping elsewhere. Salesi Moa and Kelsey Pope have had constant contact and things look good there. As for Tristen Keys, he has been in Knoxville multiple times in the last month and everything appears quiet there.
