Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Oh thank God. I was so worried about this. I woke up several times in a panic last night because I kept freaking dreaming Josh Heupel was going to leave Tennessee for the school that fired James Franklin and can't hire anybody better.
If we didn’t know you were a vandy fan I would have commended you for your severe case of BVS

Why the grudge? You guys beat us 54-0, Oct. 22, 1892. Vol fans are just good ole orange blooded Americans. Always striving.
I'm a bitter old man. Very old. I don't even remember why I'm mad anymore.

I hope no one thinks I'm serious. I'm not careful enough about that sometimes. I think blue font spoils the joke some times.

Keep beating that dead horse
Brilliant, let’s keep sowing discontent and creating doubt in every defensive recruit we have with a move before signing day!!!! Trying to work our way to the bottom of the conference in fan ratings.

Let CJH and DW (getting the money) handle the staffing and the portal before you lay your cards on the table. Those that think they are due credit for changes and additions in the near term are certified egotistical idiots. But sit back and watch the backslapping among these guys!

Caleb herring will split time with Ross. Don’t see us taking a portal guy there. Jmo

You left Hobbs off there.

I could see us running more 3 linebacker sets next year.

I wonder if a young guy has the stuff to step up into the starting position. Walton? Poteat? I’d be concerned about them being depended on but it would be par for the course with CJH rewarding guys who have tenure.

And a no Banks set?

I'm pretty sure Littrell and Heupel are tight. Like roommates at OU and one of them was a best man at the others wedding or something. Regardless Littrell has been an OC and HC. Let him call plays and Heup can step back and be more of a CEO.
Here is my thing: we have no idea who all is involved in calling plays. I don't think Litrell can do it, but if you don't think he's involved in play design to at least some extent then I don't know why we'd have him on staff. I think that's the idea behind it. If the kitchen is big enough, the more cooks the better the meal.

Respectfully you’re crazy!..you seen the kind of recruits he pulled here in such a short amount of time with no track record to compare as a HC.lane kiffin is Tony V in football.relatable, protects his guys and scores a lot of points on offense it’s fun…

if you think kiffin is gonna have to try really hard to recruit at LSU in comparison to selling someone on playing in Oxford instead..I’ve got ocean front property I’ll sell you in North Dakota.
Keep carrying that Kiffin water.

It was plain ole past tense. But I support any post referencing the subjunctive mood.
In the second case yes, but I wasn't referring to the second. In the first case the full implied meaning was: if stars were important then five-star Jackson Arnold might could be brought in on the cheap. The context revolved around the hypothetical of Merk leaving & JA staying hence my comment went to the question of bringing in an affordable 3rd string.

PS I didn't link it cause didn't want to take the squabble bait.
