He’s on staff already and needs to be OC.

Seth Littrell

Let him call plays with input from Heup.

Change the DC and some other position coaches on defense.
Do you think that might have been a bit of strategic positioning by Coach Heupel bringing in Littrell as an O analyst, giving him a season to learn the offense?
Or just one former Sooner giving another a job?

Weathersby/ Dye/ Gentle
Campbell/Robinson
Hobbs/Utley/House
Herring/Ross

Carter/Bolton/Burns/Brayden Rouse
Telander/Perlotte/TJ White
Spillman/Harmon/Anes

That’s your front 7. Gibson, Redmond, Farooq, Poteat and Walton in the secondary, need some big portal additions there. Maybe McCoy or Hood come back after their draft grades, who knows.
I sure hope not. At least DL wise. Prett above average. Need to upgrade interior and SDE except dye. Portal upgrades needed

Hunter Johnson still has eligibility. It's not the worst idea ever. Perhaps we could even find a 4-star bust that would perform worse than Joey.

I get that most of us predicted 8-4 and we went 8-4 but we really do need to aspire for hire. Joey was not good enough. I wonder if Malachi Nelson hits the portal.

No, I just have a hard time thinking he said that. Seems out of character. Maybe there is more context around it. He's usually very respectful of other programs. That was a shot at PSU.
They very likely took an answer from Heupel to a question about expectations at Tennessee, and then paired it (completely out of context) with their own Penn State sentence to generate clicks by misleading readers.

Absolutely. It seems to be Heupels strategy. Analyst or lower assistant to full time roll. I wouldn’t be shocked to see banks leave after signing day along with Hazle. Alan Williams to DC. Willie could retire and Coach ET to corners (supposedly been coaching them and doing a great job). Littrell to OC. Keep everyone else.

The wildest thing to me is one of the girls posting creepy Kiffin dms is Mary Kate Cornett who had her reputation ruined through college football media because someone made up a rumor she slept with her boyfriend's dad, which all parties involved say never happened. Didn't keep Pat McAfee from suggesting it did on TV and Kififn sliding into those dms asking about the boyfriend....
Damn that sucks. Hope she makes those media hoes pay.

She super hot too btw

Both Matt Barrie and Paul Finebaum kind of took a dump on Florida hiring Sumrall, yesterday. Said it’s a bad fit in their opinions. They both compared Sumrall to Napier and said Stricklin got it wrong, again.

It’s hard to say if he will succeed or not. Time will tell. But form the outside looking in, it’s an almost identical hire.

I'm pretty sure Littrell and Heupel are tight. Like roommates at OU and one of them was a best man at the others wedding or something. Regardless Littrell has been an OC and HC. Let him call plays and Heup can step back and be more of a CEO.

SIAP, Durkin staying at Barn.
Damnit they’re going to be really good by time they roll into town next year.

The storylines next year:
- Lane Kiffin of LSU returns to Knoxville
- Golesh of Auburn returns to Knoxville
- Arch Manning of UTexas as a junior comes to knoxville
- Tennessee returns to Columbia SC first time since 2022
- Tennessee travels to Vandy to attempt to avenge a most embarrassing loss, potentially against Pavia again.
- Third Saturday of October in Knoxville

Caleb herring will split time with Ross. Don’t see us taking a portal guy there. Jmo

You left Hobbs off there.

I could see us running more 3 linebacker sets next year.

I wonder if a young guy has the stuff to step up into the starting position. Walton? Poteat? I’d be concerned about them being depended on but it would be par for the course with CJH rewarding guys who have tenure.
We aren't going to run any more traditional 3 lb sets than we do. We're just getting insanely deep and talented at linebacker. Good coaching. Really valuable position on defense so we invest there.
