Last 6 games of the season he had a total of 32 carries.I think he got banged up in the first half of the FL game on his long run. With Lewis out for the Andy game, I think Star tried to give it a go. Maybe the staff didn’t think it was as bad an injury (to be placed on the injury list) until he went out and tried. At that point Bishop was going to be the guy for the majority of the game.
If we can get quality from the HS or JuCo ranks here at the end, I'm good with that. We're set at most positions unless something surprising happens. Just no fillers. We'll see who decides to leave after the season, but right now DL depth and starters in the secondary are the key needs. QB if Merk leaves and Joey can't come back. Really need to start seeing development at all positions. Little birdies need to fly or get kicked out of the nest.Sounds like we may add a couple more but most of what I heard was pre Vandy meltdown.
I am PERSONALLY in the viewpoint of that we have enough incoming freshmen, and I'd rather focus on getting older in the portal and flushing out any players we don't think can be top end contributors that are in their 1st or second season on the team currently.
But I don't make the calls so we will see how it all comes together.
He needs the help and I don't mean that in a derogatory manner. We all know who calls the offense. Would love to hire someone though with a lot of experience and maybe HC experience who could help Heupel game plan and also in-game with timeout and clock management etc.
Golesh is pretty much bringing his whole staffWe got problems if Golesh ends up with a better staff than Heup. If we are stuck with the same staff or somebody ends up getting promoted then Heup is in trouble. I just hope if Banks gets fired that he does not go out and get a DC from Albany community college. He has to fix this and find a S/C while he is at it.
He’s on staff already and needs to be OC.We all know who calls the offense. Would love to hire someone though with a lot of experience and maybe HC experience who could help Heupel game plan and also in-game with timeout and clock management etc.
He doesn't speak publicly like that, but everything we've read about him talks about how competitive he is. I hope there is a chip on his shoulder & he comes out of that Vandy loss spitting fire!I looked over that post several times thinking it had to be a fake account because Heupel doesn't talk like that. Maybe this season is going to put a big chip on his shoulder.
