Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Not arguing. Just looking at it logically.

$13M, Governor making deals, best job in Amurca.

A single man, who craves attention. Hooking up with Co-eds, consensually. Creepy, but nothing illegal.

Even if he did impregnate a woman, and she got an abortion. Even if he did get her a job.

Would it change anything? What's he running from?

My biggest issue with this staff is that they never give meaningful game reps to the backup OB's. Year after year this happens and we wind up with a young QB with no game experience. It just seems dumb to me, but it is what it is.
When exactly are we supposed to play backup QBs in any games except blowouts? When have we ever done that with any coach ever, except for seasons in which we've been terrible, like 2020?

Kentucky really screwed the pooch. They could've hired Sumrall (former KY LB) any time during the past two seasons. Then they couldn't make a run at him this year because of the public humiliation it would have caused watching him select Florida over his alma-mater. Now, they are in an Arkansas situation. All top options gone and they do not have the football resources to make a good hire. Should be an easy W for us and Florida moving forward.

With all due respect Kentucky isn't getting a top football candidate in the same respect that Arkansas won't. They've allocated most of their NIL for basketball. They aren't able it willing to allocate NIL to football in a large enough capacity to lure top candidates.

Going to laugh when 3-loss Bama misses the playoff. They peaked in early October when teams didn't realize they couldn't run the ball or kick FGs. Teams have been focusing on their pass game, and their production has stopped. Their best wins were a long time ago and that gauntlet of ranked teams now look meh after TN, Missouri, and LSU crapped the bed. They were lucky to beat Missouri, South Carolina, and Auburn. Struggled to beat a bad LSU, and lost their only ranked game down the stretch to an Oklahoma team that cannot play offense.

This is a fraudulent team, and the committee knows that now.

Seems that way on the surface but it's a coin flip no matter what. I remember thinking Vandy was screwed when they hired James Franklin AND Clark Lea. And also thinking that Mark Stoops was a wildly underwhelming hire for the Cats. You just never know.

I said that, but they could have had Sumrall easily the prior two years. They waited too long.

Yes

We're basically bringing everyone back on offense and this will be George's 2nd season in this offense. If he can hit the deep ball as consistent as Joey, we'll be top 3

Being a good QB is this offense is much more nuanced than "hitting the deep ball."

Joey doesn't throw a particularly great deep ball in the traditional sense. But he gets a lot of air undeath it which allows for his receivers to adjust to it mid air or make a play on it in a 50/50 scenario. Where Joey excells in this offense is his ability to read a defense and the ability to go through his reads and know where to go with the ball when his first option is covered up. Him being 24 with 5 years of experience helps with that. As the All-State guy says, he knows a thing or two because he's seen a thing or two.

Can GMac do that? We don't know. But JA did that extremely well, and expecting a redshirt freshman to be able to do that with basically no in game experience is at best super risky, and at worst, coaching malpractice.

again, almost took legal action. this is all sour grapes.

And actually, if I were Jeffrey McRoyalwcheese, Id be careful as you can end up in a law suit of which $13 million goes a long way to make your life hell.

These narcissists love to litigate.

Mark Pope has been really good for their basketball team

Not a chance they miss the playoff.

The wildest thing to me is one of the girls posting creepy Kiffin dms is Mary Kate Cornett who had her reputation ruined through college football media because someone made up a rumor she slept with her boyfriend's dad, which all parties involved say never happened. Didn't keep Pat McAfee from suggesting it did on TV and Kififn sliding into those dms asking about the boyfriend....

LOL

I don't even know what this means without context.
It's the guy who posed as an insider on Swamp 247 and had the entire board thinking Lane Kiffin had signed an MOU that would cost him more than his Ole Miss buyout to get out of.

Dude's last post on the board was that he was leaving because another site was going to pay him to post. No mention of which. Just another lie.

Bama is nearly guaranteed to be in dude. The committee has made it pretty clear they don't want to punish teams that play in a conference championship game. Now if Ty Simpson were to get hurt or if Bama gets rolled by 30 points, that could change things. But as of now, Bama is most certainly in.

I still don't understand why ND remains in front of Miami when Miami has the h2h. The ND bias is astonishing for a program that hasn't won anything of relevance in nearly 40 years.

As a side note-heard on a KY podcast last night that Brad White (KY DC) would join Sumrall in FL in the same capacity. This was supposedly in play before the Stoops firing. KY admin, even with his big buyout, probably saw the writing on the wall with staff jumping ship and had no choice but to fire Stoops.
